The video will not shed any light on the Saturday night incident because the restaurant's cameras, installed to discourage theft by staff, are focused on the kitchen, she added. There are cameras in the dining area, but they are not functional, she said.

Not functional?

Maybe Lance could make a donation to CC for them to purchase the equipment

I'd love to see an episode of inspector Columbo having a chat with Jodi.

Thanks for that picture. I can see him trying to make sense of it all. The camera's the untimely tip complaint while TH was still eating, the lack of a reservation by LA, or a bill for him at all.

Seems indeed the Feds are VERY interested. That's good, it means they are not intended LA to get off.
This is a thing that got out. How many such cases may have been kept under that hat, but otherwise well communicated to the FEDs?

To the bolded, judging by what the personal assistant who claimed to find the PED's, I'd say no. No way. Did he pay the top contractors to play? No doubt. Ferrari and the UCI are good examples. That's meaningfully different.

And another good one would be Fabiani doing a Jim Carrey in "Liar, Liar":

"STOP BREAKING THE LAW, ***HOLE!!!"

Why there is a ****ing long way to go in the media. Now admittedly it is Yahoo and they do like to troll in their blogs - more hits the better. But apparently it is Hamilton's fault because he went to a restaurant in a city where Armstrong lives.

Apparently it is like running into an old girlfriend...

If Armstrong were accused of rape, the response would be the same from the Fanboys--blame the victim.

Perhaps the FBI should contact local law enforcement to see if there have been any altercations at the restaurant since 2004 in which video footage from the dining area was reviewed. If they can establish that the cameras were working at any point after 2004 (when they acquired the restaurant), then the owners better have paperwork detailing when they were deactivated.
I hope they at least send someone up to the place to look at the recording equipment, instead of just aslking for the video to be sent to them. They can check for signs of a hasty uninstall.

Rest assured, the FBI will arrive at the CC premises with a criminal subpoena and examine the cameras--all of the cameras to ascertain their functionality to obtain any and all recordings made by them last Saturday evening. The FBI does not accept self-regulated responses to criminal subpoenas. :)

Let me add that I seriously doubt that the owners had any idea Saturday night the mess they potentially placed themselves in to please one of their regulars.

I imagine those cameras are going to examined by forensic scientists and computer forensic scientists very, very carefully. I also imagine at least two or three people would know whether those cameras were functional or not (almost certainly yes), and I can't see them passing the inspector Columbo test. The erasing of the footage or disposal and replacement of the cameras must have left some evidence behind as well. And with the incident having happened on a Saturday with plenty of staff and customers in the place, and with the contradictions and cracks that already appear to be opening, I suspect the feds have a very easy case of witness intimidation here (and now obstruction of justice as well). Add to all this the possible statute of limitations and RICO consequences, and I don't think they're going to let go of this one easily. I also imagine Lance must be busy trying to shut up a few people at the moment (more or less subtly), and it would make perfect sense for the feds to be right on top of this.

This is getting really interesting. As someone said a few posts back, pass the pop corn.

Would the feds be allowed to seize the hard drives?

Wow, someone seems to have rattled the cages.

One thread and we have all the usual suspects represented.

Cobblestoned, all the way from Germany and ten time zones. Grrr.

Polish, desperately seeking assistance in an apparent gender identity crisis..Waaa :p

USPostal and NedBraden (who really seems to be spouting a familar line even though he's a new member) Huh?

But no Flicker. Still banned by the Blue Mod Meanies...Sad Sad...:(

Sorry that me, a "ususal suspect" and "obsessed" exceptionally posted something in the clinic and in one of the Lance-threads again.
Wonder if it's still alllowed to post in the clinic without damaging reputation.
Will I be banned or busted soon ?

Glad there are many suspects to be sorted out first. This stats represent the whole stats for the clinic and especially Lance-threads, I would guess.
I would even put money on that one.

Mostly free for Tyler, yes. And he did not even tip sigh.

But by the time the FBI and HomelandSecurity are finished evaluating the tapes, and by the time the indictment for "witness tampering" is finally handed down, and by the time the trial is over - this hissy fit thrown by Tyler and his Rock Racing lawyer will end up costing millions and millions of dollars. sigh again.

No way, and really a tasteless claim you put into fanboy's mouths here.
Haters know No limits, do they ?

But I can even imagine that some haters would go full *** and associate a VIP's rape-case with Lance and his "case".

Oh, wait.....

There are certainly a lot of really stupid people on this earth.

Even discounting whether the comments are "for" or "against" Armstrong, most of them are totally lacking in intelligence.

Too easy, apparently. The fact that the case in question was about an alleged rape had nothing to do with why it was mentioned. It was the issue of being above the law (or not) on account of being a VIP.

A better analogy would be to, say, the allegations that Armstrong harassed and smeared Betsy Andreu. Did the fanboys blame the victim in that case?

If you go by what some of your fellow fanboys have to say, the book is already available and Tyler is doing a series of publicity stunts to promote it.

Having your life made a living hell (on top of losing an Olympic gold medal) is a small price to pay for a few thousand volumes (of an imaginary book) sold.

That Tyler is one shrewd book promoter.
