OH joy! I am so glad the FBI might be using valuable resources/time/money to investigate this alleged "witness tampering" incident.

For the love of GOD, stop the insanity.

Anyway, side note. What exactly motivates Betsy to say/do what she does?

What is in this for her personally and her payoff?

This is the CyclingNews website and forum, not the Lance Armstrong site/forum. Perhaps Lance could have his friends set-up their own slew of threads on the Livestrong or Radio Shack sites?!

Does anyone honestly think, knowing Lance's personality, that "nothing happened?" I think the only issue at this point is if the FBI wants to put enough resources into investigating the details, or how far they are going to pursue the matter in regards to how much evidence they need to pile on before the indictment.

What I'd like to see now is Floyd show up to eat at Cache Cache, as I don't think he'd walk away so quietly.

In a fist fight I'd back Armstrong, he's definitely still on the T.

But if it stayed verbal Floyd could make Lance cry without even saying anything mean or raising his voice.

And Floyd could definitely take Lance in a drinking competition. Definitely.

Ziggy - your contributions to this forum actually smell. At least i think they do.

They smell like a fat salesman breaking wind in a pair of cheap nylon pants while eating a chilli dog in a hot un-airconditioned car as he sits in a massive tailback in rush hour on the beltway, listening to Chris de Burgh to pass the time. But worse.

Fine non-responses.

Such comments don't deserve a response.

Witness intimidation, perjury, obstruction of justice should be taken seriously in all instances, regardless of how serious some people view the offence, or how likeable some people find the perpetrator.

All such offences place an undesired fist in the ar*e of the concept of justice, without which we are lost to our base instincts.

1) Lance and Anna leave the kids with the babysitter
2) They stroll on foot down to Cache Cache, looking back now and then.
3) Arrive and enter the Bar to a rousing cheer "Lance" "Anna"
4) The OutsideMag investigative reporter that was tailing them makes his call.
5) Lance and Anna proceed to pound down brewskis, basking in the glow of accomplishing yet another successful fundraising bike ride earlier in the day.
6) They pound down a few more. Yes, RR, we know. Causes cancer.
7) The Hamilton Party arrives. Operation Promo begins.
8) After half a beer, Tyler needs to take a pee break.
9) Anna, on a pee break herself, is suprised when Tyler enters the women's bathroom WTF?
10) Tyler leaves the bathroom and gives Lance a traiterous manhug.
11) "wtf dude" says Lance. Truly uneventful discussion folows.
12) The cameras that were not working when the new owners bought the bar are still not working. Too bad.
13) The OutsideMag Party high five all around and prepare to dine and dash.
14) They chicken out and pay - but stiff the waitress. "Take that"
15) Lance and Anna return home and pay the slightly chubby but not sociopathic babysitter. Give her a big tip.
15) Early the next morning the OutsideMag crew show up to TP Lance's house. They forgot the TP, so instead leave a bunch of rude loud messages on the answering machine at Cache Cache
16) OutsideMag tweets.
17) Tyler calls his lawyer.
18) FBI/HomeLandSecurity/JusticeDept/FDA/Etc swing into action.
19) FTC begins to investigate illegal defamatory posts on the Cache Cache webite.

How about:

1. Tyler Hamilton, in Aspen as a guest of Outside Magazine goes to a popular French restaurant on the day when a certain former cyclist is three states away doing a charity ride with a major sponsor.
2. Owner of said restaurant, trying to impress an influential client calls said client, making him aware of Hamilton's presence.
3. Said client visits restaurant (after riding for four hours then flying 1,200 miles home) and confronts Hamilton.

See, saved you 16 steps. Occam's Razor and all...

While it might not take much incentive to get Floyd to make the trip, I think I'd advise against it. Lance is doing a good enough job on his own right now that I don't think it'd be in Floyd's interests to be very close to the full implosion.

Floyd was even too smart to go to ToC, I think? But oh, did the sport ever fear him to show up... If he really wanted to take the sport baack, he could ask a non-appearance fee. His time costs money, even when spent trying to crash twitter byh himself.
Underestimating Floyd has happened to the very best in this sport, and on many levels. The most lauded rider, the most lauded DS, the UCI overlords 1.0 and 2.0, most of the press, the list goes on.

C'mon - do you think the owner of the Cache Cache would even know Tyler?
Doubt it.
If you want to go all Occam's Razor on me, how about:

1) Chance meeting

There, I saved you 2 steps

It's interesting how the Justice Department puts a high priority on crimes that strike to the heart of the justice system. Things like witness and jury tampering, grand jury leaks, violations of various privileges are very important to the Feds.

I think his lawyer Chade O. Grey already tried to make reservations via twitter. It makes no sense to quote the tweets here though, as they would only appear as a bunch of ***'s

They actually do deserve a response, and they got exactly the one they did deserve.

My father used to tell me if you are ten feet away from the dead person, you're considered a murderer. If you are a hundred feet away, you're involved somehow. if you are a hundred miles away, it was suicide.

What a great idea!! If and when an indictment comes down, that could be a blast. I'd fly in from Boston for that. However, I would suggest a major party in Chicago---easier for all to get to and less expensive, unless Outside Mag is willing to pick up the tab. :)

Alternatively, there could be Lance Indictment parties around the country...................

Gosh, you forgot Mr Simeoni and Mr Kimmage

And I would recommend they order the Soup of the Day.
Chef's Special made just for them. Yummy.

Afterwords they can go over and apologize to the Livestrong party;)

Thanks:)

I must say, there are some characters on this forum. There are somepeople that I will occasionally search their user names just to see what they have posted lately. Of course, these are the people who don't make posting here a part of their daily rituals, which excludes many of you! :) But even for our most articulate and most ehhh...esoteric posters, suchas maybe say TFF or Huge Anus it begins and ends right here for me.

Except for you, Polish. (and is it polish like the country or polish like pledge furniture polish? Or is it reader's choice?) I mean not any harm at all, but I would actually like to meet you. Some of the complete mindless insanity seems to be the work that not one man could be capable of. Is it just one guy? Or like 3 or 4 out of work comedy writers just having a huge tongue in cheek go with the lot of us? That would be just truly spectacular.

Anyhow, sir, (I assume it is a 'sir') a tip of the hat in what is truly a body of work that stands alone. The quality, the consistency, the sheer endurance and indefatigability (is that a real word?), you are either the AC of Lance fanboy's or truly a tongue in cheek genius. Chapeau and rock on.

I have a better idea yet, let's send one each of...
Walsh
Kimmage
Anderson
B Andreu
F Andreu
Hamilton
Flandis
Swart
O'Reilly
Lemond
Selena Roberts
Scott Pelley
Simeoni
Michael Ashenden
James Startt
Bassons

to each of Aspen's s****y pretentious eateries/watering holes and have them hang out for a week, wired. Bet it wouldn't take long for some more witness intimidation to take place.
