Assuming there will be an actual trial; do people here think it might be televised like OJ? (do they still do that?) Is televising a trial likely to help one party over another?
I would love to see some of the testimony.
Can you imagine the play-by-play commentary in the Clinic?
I can see the prosecutor and defense attorneys now on their laptops keeping check on the Clinic. Battling not only in Federal Court but also the interwebs

“If you have just won the Tour for the second time and you are the king of Spain, it is normal that all stories are all right. His career has barely begun. Let us talk again in about fifteen years.”

“So many dirty things, unbelievable. Complete bull****, pieces of slime, fat lies.”

“First, this is not true. Secondly, it is easy to prove. You only have to grab the phone and call the bicycle manufacturer Trek. I understand that the Spanish media stands up for their hero, but it was so untrue what was printed. Come on, at the end of the day as a journalist, you f**king do proclaim the truth."

"eight of the nine riders who rode the Tour, have gone away. To another team. Even his roommate."

“I would have long since looked in the mirror. I would never let that happen. Never. If I had to change myself to prevent it, then I would do that. If they needed more money, I would do it. I would do anything for them. "

"But Contador is totally different from me. It is very difficult,” the seven-time Tour winner continued. “He knows no better. He is a Spanish guy who is always in the same pueblo (district) resident. He has his friends, family, the street where he grew up, his country, his people. A great athlete like him must employ individuals who support him and have patience with him. But he is surrounded by yes-men.

Yep, that was the vindictive interview from Hell. The timing of it was fun, too, as he invited the guy to a California mansion between Christmas and New Year's so he could sling excrement and spread lies. What he said about the Time Trial wheel was a lie, but he knew no one would ever call Trek. The truth didn't come out until a couple of months later when Bruyneel spoke to Marca confirming the purchase at the end of a free reign interview, and then a journalist told the real story in his blog.

But basically, it was Lance. Contador was out bringing presents to a children's hospital, and Armstrong was trying to trash his reputation from a long, safe distance away.

Different states have different laws.
In New York, cameras are not allowed which is why you still will see the age-old craft of the court artists providing sketches of the events.

In the O.J. case, which was in California, it was still up to the judge to decide if he would allow cameras to operate during the trial or not. Fortunately, for all the parties that spun their appearances into shameless subsequent careers, he did.

<snip>...He's still an arrogant male, with perhaps more testosterone running through his veins than the average Joe :p. ...<snip>

Not according to his interview with Playboyin 2005.

PLAYBOY : After you lose a testicle, does the other one stay where it was or does it move to the middle?

ARMSTRONG: : It stays. Mine stayed left. You also produce less testosterone. The one that remains picks up a bit of the slack for his buddy who's gone, but not all of it. Since 1996 I've had chronically low testosterone, and I can't do anything about it.

PLAYBOY : It's a banned substance. You couldn't race if you replaced the testosterone you lost.

ARMSTRONG: : I have to wait until I retire. It's not a question of being manly or being a sexual god, but I worry about osteoporosis. Chronically low testosterone leads to brittle bones.

Brittle bones? LA must have been lucky in all those falls since 1999 in not fracturing a bone.

No wonder Lance is so upset with Landis.

Poor guy cannot supplement his Testosterone levels, while Landis flaunts his positive.

You don't expect me to let you talk about me behind my back, do you? :D

Well, since you were only mentioned tangentially, I'm not too sure.

I do, however, have a sneaking suspicion that if I were to simply type "Andrew Coggan" in an otherwise empty post, you'd show up in no time, like Nanny McPhee or Mary Poppins... ;)

If I'm crowned king will you be my fool? :D

The position of Fool requires true intellect and the ability to not only discern the truth, but the ability to tell the monarch in a manner that will not cost the Fool his head. Polish would find himself headless in a matter of hours.

Not likely. Not enough drama.

And it's the feds. They're not really in the business of 3 ring circuses. The Casey Anthony circus on the other hand has been televised for a month and counting now from the great state of Florida. And none other than OJ's very own prosecutor Marcia Clark is all cleaned up and has been making a dollar as a legal consultant for it.

Edit: Lol, I have to qualify that. Federal courts aren't into 3 ring circuses. Federal politicians apparently love them.

Grayson Schaffer is an editor at Outside magazine.

I wonder what's up at Outside. I'll give props to Polish for sniffing this out first.

Anyone ever read the TripAdvisor reviews of Cache Cache? Great stuff!

45 people found this review helpful

"The serving staff was terribly rude and the space smelled like EPO and human testosterone. Was the strangest thing I've ever experienced."

60 people found this review helpful

"I was enjoying my meal until the desert. The waitstaff became very hostile and a man at the bar started babbling about destruction, witness stands, and life in hell. Very odd. I was asked to leave and never return. No problem, my white bag lunch is better."

20 people found this review helpful

"Don't plan on taking a group of clients to this restaurant if you've recently done a 60 minutes interview that looks bad for a celebrity who is friends with the owner. Coming to grips with mistakes in your life and giving honest answers (that everyone already knows are true anyway) will get you blacked listed. At least you will be..."

Let's just say I was the first to read the bottom quote ;) . However, I failed to proof read as much as I should have.

I will likely be about how Floyd gave his password out to a bunch of people, resulting in 72 hour tweet a thons. Certainly made people think he was crazy but he was not writing most of those.

If that's correct it would certainly explain a lot. He was starting to look seriously unhinged. I only followed them via the NYVelocity site feed and it felt very uncomfortable at times, like he was falling apart and people were encouraging him to take it further rather than offering help.

“Certainly, if your story doesn’t emphasize the absurdity in Armstrong paying Fabiani $40K per month to do things like build a website alleging that a fake law firm by the name of Grey Manrod conspired with 60 Minutes to fabricate a story,” Landis e-mailed, “then you missed the point of these shenanigans.”

Some funny stuff. Floyd Owns Lance.

This deserves its own thread
