Lance also played golf with President Clinton a couple of weeks ago BTW..

You know, when Lance is in jail - he will NOT miss a beat at all.
Still be getting stuff done. Workaholic.

Although the World Leaders will have to come visit him instead of vice versa.
No problems I'm sure lol.
Armstrong will be out on bail. If convicted and sent to a federal prison, he'll have more to worry about than fighting cancer. ***comment removed**** He'll survive whatever way he can.

Dave I would draw your attention to a couple other things. Those jackt ibankers are guys I train with. They also get good sponsors for local clubs. Just like puffin' a splif, you gotta know where the line is. I see hedge funders w Di2 on the West Side bike path, they are wearing glasses for a number of reasons, probably so nobody asks them about their pupils.

Come on man it's all fun after you are over 30.

Thank goodness that the locals have separated CRCA from the revolving Mengeoni mess. They do more for racing around here than everybody else combined. I personally overlook lots of stuff because I have never" needed" prize. The attack on 40 somethings w millions to spend on hobbies should be done with great care.

I have witnessed an attempt or two to exclude people from rides in Prospect and Central Park. I have listened to chatter when somebody w some issue tries to do Bear Mountain or Piermont. If it's important to you ask the guy if he is a drug user. I have an idea of the outcome. But the rumor thing will only get the wrong guys bhut kicked.

I was recently asked to say something to a guy that joined a group ride that was not wearing a helmet. I did what I was told as the official ride police and the keeper of the standards. I went back and looked at the guy and asked him what his problem was..."Yo why did you exclude me when you bought the round of beers at The Gate?". He promised it wouldn't happen again so I allowed him to keep riding in group formation .

Dave when I see you I hope you have your broad brush in your jersey pocket for easy identification .
*not all fit 40 yo olds with the latest offerings from R&A are on drugs, only some*

OK, some fair points.
But I wasnt saying all 40 year olds.
THe fact that it is ANY 40 year olds is really sad. But of course if they have the money and access then it all revolves from there.
I cant keep the good guys and bad guys apart, so if you (I couldnt tell) wanna say CRCA>>Mengoni fine. But I note where both teams have had recent AAF in major riders. I actually was thinking about another team anyway...

I never said ALL, but if its any, isnt that weird?
But what makes it REALLT weird is that they get on the full program, sandbag and stay Cat 3 for 20 years, so they can (and their teams) dominate certain races, events etc etc etc. Where is the fun in that? If you are not racing Masters, what is the point of going out and killing some 19-20 year old Cat 3s at Bear Mountain who have the ability to move up and enjoy the sport and succeed. But not if the team is shredding the entire bunch...oh well...A certain rider I knew, had his Power Tap on and when that team took to the front, it was over 360 watts, sitting back in the bunch on the rollers in Bear Mountain, while the 40 year olds took pulls on the front. 360-400 watts? Sitting 30 riders back? What?!?!?

THere are some guys who do good stuff:
Doug Ellis for starters
certain people who do well and underwrite their college team e.g.

I cant recall, did he ride for Mengoni, THEN CRCA, or the reverse? Sad news.

Colorado Springs, Colo. (July 1, 2011) USADA announced today that Lisban Quintero of New York, New York, an athlete in the sport of Cycling, has tested positive for a prohibited substance and accepted a suspension for his doping offense.

Quintero, 29, tested positive for the anabolic agents, 19-norandrosterone and 19-noretiocholanolone, as a result of a sample collected at the Wilmington Grand Prix, on May 22, 2011, in Wilmington, Delaware. Anabolic Agents are prohibited under the USADA Protocol for Olympic Movement Testing and the rules of the International Cycling Union, both of which have adopted the World Anti-Doping Code and the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List.

I suspect that these are appearances related to cancer work that were booked well in advance. It will be interested to see who stands by him post-indictment while out on bail awaiting trial.

BTW, I'll bet that if that happened with Holder, it was leaked by someone on Armstrong's side to a Republican friend in Congress. ;)

Patton Boggs. There is a reason he hired them

Did it make you angry when Lance Armstrong impugned CBS News' integrity?

FAGER What made me angry was that they sent me a note accusing us of shoddy reporting …

RHODES Not saying that it wasn't true.

FAGER Right, not denying the allegations. But at 1 a.m. [they sent the note], and by the time I looked at it, there were several pieces already written using quotes [from Armstrong's reps]. That was annoying. I had a call from The Washington Post, and before I was able to return it, they had already written their piece. Why would you [publish] a story without talking to the other side? That is what was annoying. [Armstrong's reps] asked for an apology, which they will never get. We're proud of that story.

So, you sneakily drop a note in the middle of the night, blind CC'ing a few people. That way the story is leaked out before the original recipient of your email has even read it?

Way to man-up there Lance.

A Request of Lance Fanboys and Paid PR Trolls on the Clinic

Could one of you please find out when Lance will ask to voluntarily testify before the Grand Jury without immunity. He's innocent of any wrongdoing, right? Nothing to hide, right? So when will he set the record straight under oath in the Grand Jury room? Thanks. I look forward to your reply.

He'll do it tomorrow, right after he goes insane.

God, that was so shocking to me as an attorney, former assistant district attorney and former administrative law judge that I blacked out and fell right off the damned horse.

You asked the questions. That's quite a list, what other professions have you pretended to be? Football player, singer and probably jockey I would guess.

You are so right, Polish. Lance's mother brought him up to find, er... positives in a negative situation. I'm sure that if Lance goes to prison he'll find innovative ways to make doing the laundry more efficient or find a faster way of stamping out number plates. He use his laser-like focus and attention to detail to achieve this. He'll probably start up a support group for cancer survivors and get them all cycling on stationary trainers in all sorts of weather. And he's certain to be best friends with the warden, especially if he's a cancer survivor.

When he's released, he'll sell exclusive rights for millions to his prison story to Sports Illustrated or the Wall Street Journal or maybe even the News of the World.

Of course, he'll never do any jail time. All his friends who are world leaders will petition the president at the time Arnold Schwarzenegger who will pardon Lance and change the sentence to community service of picking up litter beside main highways. Lance will turn that into a positive experience by calling out 'Hey, what's up?" to any passing cyclist (particularly former teammates) and when there are no passing cyclists he'll start a cancer survivors support group for local wildlife.

Of course, Lance will never do community service. The community service sentence will be waived as Lance has already done a life time of community service raising money for LiveStrong and its shareholders and raising awareness of cancer, in particular testicular cancer, especially Lance's testicular cancer.

Of course, Lance will never be convicted. The trial will result in a not guilty verdict. Lance will sue the FDA for millions for wrongful arrest and after a few years will win and be awarded billions.

Of course, the case will never come to trial. There will be insufficient evidence to bring the case to court. Lance will sue the FDA for character assassination and for wasting taxpayers' money and will be awarded as compensation and damages millions of dollars of taxpayers' money.

Wonderboy is freaking out right now. Despite his public efforts he is not handling the stress well.

The Tour did not make things any better. You gotta wonder what ****ed him off more

JV's teaming crushing it
Radischack sucking it
One of the greatest Tours ever.....and Armstrong was completely irrelevant. The sport has moved on.

+1. The Tour was derided by some as dull but it cast such a blazingly dramatic departure from the LA era that his legacy in European sport seems almost comic. He's probably seen for what he was (past tense and very, very irrelevant). That's got to hurt.

I'm not wondering about what he thinks, he bores me. I'm only waiting to see if he gets charged with something! Now that would be interesting!

I appreciate what you say but, imagining what he expected his legacy to bring to him in money and adulation and seeing that slip away may be the biggest payoff of all. Charges and loss of cash only add another type of shame.
