Toxic?

Just rode the Pan-Mass Challenge with Sen. John Kerry and Scott Brown.
Lots of photo-ops.
Lots of press.

See coverage?

http://www.boston.com/news/local/ma...kerry_scott_brown_ride_in_cancer_fund_raiser/

111 miles, not bad for a senator in his later 50s? or is he 60?

http://www.csmonitor.com/World/Maki...How-cyclists-raise-the-most-money-for-charity

So, why do you guys love cancer?

So a photo opp with a couple politicians means what exactly?

Funny thing is Kerry thinks Wonderboy is a ******bag. Ever since he threatened to unleash the groupies if he did not get his way like a petulant child.

Once again, Lance is walking in the footsteps of greatness:

LeMond rode the Pan-Mass with Kerry in 2006, AND 2008.

Sounds like Lance will be blocking out dates in his calendar for the next 6 summers....

Always the imitator. Sigh.

Kerry is a politician. Lance is dead meat.

I would like to remind you that this is on the whole an English speaking forum and it is impolite you use your native troll lingo in your posts since while most posters can recognise the language but find it incomprehensible. I recommend you visit Google translate before you post as the have an option on the menu for Troll-->English. In fact all your posts might benefit from this process.

A cordial Ghuhg to you.

Lots of press, eh?

If you check the second piece that you linked that provides detail of the event, guess which retired 7 times Tour winners name does not get a mention?

Nor does that same person even show up on the PMC website.

Nor did I see a yellow band on the Scott's wrist either . . . nice, I guess he did not drink from the punch bowl?

Maybe Lance will get an invite to Letterman after this ride and he can tell Dave again how he never doped again and all about the Catlin drug program?

Then he go get some bang for Radioshack's buck by doing Triathlon and other world events in 2011/12.

My hero the Lance.

Yeah, no. Letterman hasn't even made jokes about him. When he won't talk about a "celebrity" they usually don't exist.

It means he is not toxic, which is what I responded to.

A leading senator, rides the whole ride with him, together. Multiple photo and interview ops.

Repeat: NOT TOXIC

Funny thing is, you have no idea what John Kerry thinks. John and his wife Teresa who is fighting cancer herself are close with Lance.
Please post and back up the confused drivel you are posting how John Kerry thinks Lance is a so-and-so.
Even if JK thought Lance was a "#######", and there is no evidence he does, what are the chances that one of the most skilled and cautious politicians would let that slip?

Do you even know who John Kerry is BTW?

John Kerry has lovely hair. But in reality he had a failed presidential bid and most people think he's a bit of a joke.

More importantly he has a vested interest in Livestrong and what it does. Question remains - was he there in his capacity as a senator or as a member of the Livestrong team? (paid I might add)

Kerry's maintaining a fairly low profile so you're correct on the caution front. As for his personal opinion...I'm sure it meshes closely with his electorate and not necessarily with reality. Lance's marketability is a reality you can't see because he's fading from view.

The Pann Mass Challenge had estimated revenues of $30Million.
Thats MORE revenue than a 2 day total for ASO's Tour de France.

And the Pann Mass revenues go to a MUCH better cause.

Yes, more attention should be given to rides like Pann Mass or Livestrong.
Maybe Lance's attendance at these events can help turn the tide?
Plenty of work to be done to raise awareness no doubt.
No doubt.

Letterman just doesn't think he could make Lance look any more foolish than he manages all by himself.
I mean, threatinging GJ witness that just told all of the truth, in a full restaurant. Hopping all of Hollywood to keep his uniball in shape. Riding like a falling angel in his last TdF. Claiming to fight cancer, aboard his private jet. You can't make that stuff up.
Letterman knows his equal when he sees it. Let someone else make that top-10 list.
In fact, why don't we give it a go?

Letterman knows Armstrong is toxic. Before it's over Armstrong will qualify as a Superfund Site.

Of course he can't

Kerry is active in many cancer related causes but has not been associated with Livestrong for a few years. His old pal Bush also has distanced himself, not just because Wonderboy's public image is toxic but also because they don't want to hang out with the ******bag

Wow, rrrradio even knows the Bush-clan and John Kerry, and they regularly tell him what they think of Lance.
Pretty good read again around here. Funny to see what comes out of Lance doing a charity ride.

lol

Lance "toxic dead meat ****bag" Armstrong is unsignificant (as you can see here in this awesome thread), lonely and toxic, because Letterman doesn't joke about Lance.
Pictures and ride really show that Kerry and GWB are distancing themselfs from Lance and Livestrong....so....on :D
You can read it all here - in the clinic.

Fanboy babble

I am not the only one who knows. When Wonderboy crashed a Bush Mtn bike event looking for some face time Bush made it clear to reporters that he was no fan. Things are not good when a former President calls you an *******.

Let's be clear. The term "toxic" came from someone high up at HTC to a room full of people including Radioshack execs.

In regards to Letterman. At least Dave had the guts to confess to his sins unlike Sir Lance.

This is what it has come to, Wonderboy flying across the country just in the hope of getting his picture with someone important.....anything to convince the groupies he is still relevant.

Desperation, it would be sad if it wasn't so funny

Ok, maybe I'm missing something here.

The Pan-Mass Challenge is in it's 30th year, and it often referred to as the "original" bike-a-thon. Since its inception, the organization has been dedicated to raising funds to "improve the lives of those suffering with cancer" (sounds like it is perfectly aligned with the Livestrong goals) and has rasied nearly $270 MILLION dollars towards that goal:

He wasn't kidding. Under Starr's direction, the PMC has grown considerably and consistently from its modest beginnings into an event that draws more than 5,000 cyclists, who hail from 36 states and eight countries. Now in its 30th year, the PMC raised over $30 million from the efforts put forth by PMC cyclists on August 1 and 2, 2009. To date, the PMC has raised $270 million that has been used to improve the lives of those suffering with cancer. It is the largest single contributor to the Jimmy Fund, bringing in nearly 50 percent of its annual revenue.

Yet Armstrong never attended, never mind rode in it...until this year.

The Pan-Mass Challenge Story

P.S. John Kerry has ridden the event annually for the last 6 or 7 years, regardless of who else decides to show up.

Yes, the Pan-Mass is a fantastic ride.
30 years of riding....
Hinault won the Tour for the first time back then.....
Maybe it even helped to inspire the Livestrong charity rides?

BTW, were you even aware of the Pan-Mass ride before this year?
Many people were not.
