And why the DEA, FBI, and IRS are involved.....sure it is all just a witch hunt. All those investigators who have no understanding of the law. Our tax dollars at work. blah, blah, blah

And this process before the Grand Jury where all the revealed witnesses have a connection to Mr. Armstrong's conduct. Not Mr Ball or Mr Papp.

Statistics show that in some jurisdictions less than 3% of Grand Juries refuse to indict.

First, there are those who see the screening grand jury as no more than a rubber stamp for the prosecutor. They point to various indictment jurisdictions in which grand juries have refused to indict in less than three percent of their cases.

From what little that has been revealed all we hear about are the visits to haunts associated with Armstrong and his connections by investigators - Trek bikes, Aspen eatery "Couche Couche", Swiss banks, manufacturers of clinical trial drug HemAssist, Popovych's villa, etc.

When are the Feds going to expand their investigation if MarkvW speculates this is a drugs in cycling probe and not specifically Mr. Armstrong?

The IRS doesn't send forensic accountants to Switzerland to examine banking records on any old hunch.

I think we can all agree it is just a witch hunt by government employees looking for a European vacation. It is only reasonable to that this is the case.

If that question refers to his riding of some blond chick that looks like his mother, I am sure he will.

And you add in some form of bank fraud and RICO (if that statute is used) becomes a real solid mother****er. But I am sure they sent them there because the SOL had run, and they had nothing better to do...
It was a training exercise for them. ;)

If you are saying that the investigation is over, yes that is correct.

If you are saying that that these agencies will not contribute to the charges......you are welcome to pretend that is the case

There will be some Lance news next week. Monday/Tuesday - maybe over the weekend.
When is there ever no Lance news, really?
It's more impressive if you announce what the news will be.

You seriously think Armstrong was not doping for Comeback 2. oh oh?
You think Michele provided his services for free?

Why do you think the only statement about the investigation that Armstrong made was to deny any ownership in the team?
Which of course we showed here within minutes was false.

Well yeah …LA stated that he was clean and he also said something along the lines before the comback2.0 that “he would be crazy or something to dope after having cancer”. Duhh:confused:

While “we” might have showed it here to be false that does not prove it. Duhh.

The new forum rules state that major announcements such as this MUST include "Drumroll" or "Showtime" in the post. You may want to edit your post before it gets reported.

The next month is going to be a hard one for you Joe. Good idea to get as many digs in as possible now

I wonder if the US Attorney will allow some of the defendants to turn themselves in with counsel and avoid the handcuffed perp walk. I think that won't happen. I expect either the FBI of IRS to put the cuffs on Armstrong in the presence of Novitsky and take him in in full view. Showtime!!

I also remember seeing that Armstrong canceled his much touted trip to Brazil for "personal reasons".
I'm going out to buy some good red wine today.

If they arrest these guys after 5pm tomorrow, will they be arraigned before Monday? Many state courts will let you sit feasting on bologna sandwiches. I think fed magistrates are available. Can someone confirm?

If true, that's some news so big, it'll find a prominent place in the mainstream newscycle.

If some of you guys know (and I must qualify that term) about it, imagine what the fellah in question must know.

I can only imagine what the old boy is going through: he must be climbing the walls.

Who else is gonna be marched with him?

I think you are confusing my poking fun at certain forum members (who have a dubious record regarding predictions) with support for LA.

In any event, my bet is on May 2012 based on a September 2 twit by one of Floyd's (possible) twitter accounts - "So no indictments until May 2012? Time flies."

Note that this is an unverified, possibly speculative twit by someone who may or not be Floyd.

I'm not sure it works in that fashion but correct me if I'm wrong.

He will (has) been given the opportunity to first see the charges and a time limit to respond. This is before the actual charges laid.

Leaving the country during this period would look very bad. He needs to be front and center.
