Sorry Doc, but to me this looks like a bad con. Like people who actually bump there beater cars into a posh job while on the road. Then claim injury. They usually get away with it until the second or third time.

Wait, so your theory is that Hamilton deliberately went to Aspen and then to that particular restaurant and sat around just in the hope of running into Armstrong? That's hilarious.BillytheKid said:He makes a second home in Aspen, CO., especially during the summer. For TH and crew to have known that he wouldn't be home on the 12th is dubious.
Dr. Maserati said:Stick to that if you want to continue to be wrong.
The incident happened on Saturday the 11th - it was first reported in Grayson Schaffers twitter that evening - so it was the same day as LA was a thousand miles away in Tennessee so Hamilton would not have expected LA to be back in Aspen.
What facts are you saying they have wrong?BillytheKid said:The Tennessean is well known newspaper. So they have there facts wrong?
ROTFL!! I'll have to remember that line.Dr. Maserati said:Sounds like you're talking from experience - was it a head injury?

so now you're saying Outside magazine set the whole thing up?BillytheKid said:Aspen is LA's second home. The restaurant/bar he often frequents. Having been a news type myself until I quit in disgust, I know journalists well enough. It really not as far out as you think it.

So you're saying Hamilton and Outside hatched this plot to ensnare Armstrong by scheduling their visit on a weekend when he was known to be out of town. That was their best shot, the best plan they could come up with.
Makes sense.
I'll give you credit for being smarter than that, so it does beg the question, why are you arguing something you know is nonsense?
BillytheKid said:Think of the paparazzi. The story begins to feed itself. In that regard, I find it
plausible.

BillytheKid said:I ask you: So what was known? The Tennessan reports this event took place on the 11th. Aspen does have a jet capale ariport. You do the math. But what day did this all take place? Reportly the 12th.
BillytheKid said:Didn't say it was so...only suspecious.
But his appearance Saturday at the Harpeth River Ride sent a buzz through Middle Tennessee’s cycling community as hundreds of riders and fans came out for the chance to see — and maybe ride with — Lance.
it is dull, isn't it?Moose McKnuckles said:I have yet to understand why intelligent posters keep engaging FlickertheKid in debate when he's just trying to drag the conversation down to his level?
Dr. Maserati said:You mean the Outside journalists - damn, they had it all so well planned and then they actually forgot to have anyone right there to record the story.
