So Hamilton and Outside hatched this plot to ensnare Armstrong by scheduling their visit on a weekend when he was known to be out of town. That was their best shot, the best plan they could come up with.
Makes sense.
I'll give you credit for being smarter than that, so it does beg the question, why are you arguing something you know is nonsense?

I find the OutsideMag/Tyler story that "they thought Lance would not be there" interesting for two reasons...
Either Tyler was ALREADY intimidated by the prospect of running into Lance.
Actually worked his schedule to avoid Lance yikes,
Imagine how Tyler would
over-react if Lance actually showed up OMG.
C'mon - not Lance's fault that Tyler is a bit jumpy boo.
Thats not intimidation. Its jumpiness.
Or OutsideMag/Tyler "protested too much".
Why even make an issue out of "we thought Lance was out of town"?
Hmmmm.
Would they
truly think Lance would spend the night in Podunk or be back on the jet to Aspen ASAP?
Podunk or Aspen?
C'mon - they knew he would be in Aspen.
Sittin' at the bar in Aspen. What a suprise.
What a suprise if Tyler's new book is excerpted in OutSide Mag someday....
This whole "we thought he was out of town" routine is seriously flawed.
Not nonsense btw. Could be part of the Witch Hunt even.
