Aspen is LA's second home. The restaurant/bar he often frequents. Having been a news type myself until I quit in disgust, I know journalists well enough. It really not as far out as you think it. :D

Tell it to the judge. I suppose it's possible. It's even possible Novitsky set it up because he wanted the statute of limitations invalidated.

If so, it worked. If this was a set up, Armstrong was played like a fiddle. In any case it's nothing a few subpoenas won't sort out.

I ask you: So what was known? The Tennessan reports this event took place on the 11th. Aspen does have a jet capale ariport. You do the math. But what day did this all take place? Reportly the 12th.:D

Your evasiveness is pointless.

I don't care if it's the 11th or 12th, not that this entire line of commentary has any value. If you were planning to ambush Armstrong in Aspen, and you and the entire press world know he's not there at least part if not all (EXTREMELY likely) the weekend, you would not choose that weekend for an ambush.

Is there any argument to that?

let me give you a clue. why do you think certain members from houston managed to hang on to a copy you were served but was deleted there ?

thick hint: look at the sexist style of false impersonations and particularly at the stuck key board phenomena. some well known to you whiners ring a bell ?;)

That's right, billy. The ride took place on the 11th and the reporter covering the story submitted his story for the next days newspaper which would be the 12th. Much like the Outside bloggers reporting the altercation between LA and TH on the 12th even though it happened the night before-on the 11th. Get it?

Oh...I would very much like to see your entire collection of International Cycle Sports. Any chance you could scan them in and put them up somewhere? That would be great. Thanks in advance

Stop debating each other, and deal with the topic only.

BTW, if you suspect a troll, one sure way to make their day is to engage them for umpteen posts. If it is to "stop a thread from derailing", it is throwing fertiliser on a weed that might otherwise never have germinated.

So Hamilton and Outside hatched this plot to ensnare Armstrong by scheduling their visit on a weekend when he was known to be out of town. That was their best shot, the best plan they could come up with.

Makes sense.

I'll give you credit for being smarter than that, so it does beg the question, why are you arguing something you know is nonsense?

I find the OutsideMag/Tyler story that "they thought Lance would not be there" interesting for two reasons...

Either Tyler was ALREADY intimidated by the prospect of running into Lance.
Actually worked his schedule to avoid Lance yikes,
Imagine how Tyler would over-react if Lance actually showed up OMG.
C'mon - not Lance's fault that Tyler is a bit jumpy boo.
Thats not intimidation. Its jumpiness.

Or OutsideMag/Tyler "protested too much".
Why even make an issue out of "we thought Lance was out of town"?
Hmmmm.
Would they truly think Lance would spend the night in Podunk or be back on the jet to Aspen ASAP?
Podunk or Aspen?
C'mon - they knew he would be in Aspen.
Sittin' at the bar in Aspen. What a suprise.
What a suprise if Tyler's new book is excerpted in OutSide Mag someday....

This whole "we thought he was out of town" routine is seriously flawed.
Not nonsense btw. Could be part of the Witch Hunt even.

Does it really make you feel good to defend a bully? Honest question.

Somehow I think you are a better person than that.

I most definitely agree. Even if Tyler thought LA would be out of town, why take the risk? why not go some place else? Sounds like it was set up to me, or at least some underlying attempt at provocation.

But how come LA took the bait that easily? We all know that the best way to react to provocation is to not react.

Not the smartest of moves by LA. He's standing in his yellow underware now.

A legal question: Could Lance be held accountable in court for the version his lawyer, Fabiani, spins off of the Aspen story, if it is proven incorrect?

"Armstrong attorney Mark Fabiani told the Daily News that Hamilton and his friends pulled up in front of Armstrong's Aspen home on Sunday. The group did not approach the house but instead stood on the street, taking pictures and speaking loudly. Armstrong was not at home at the time.

"It shows how obsessed Hamilton is with Lance," Fabiani said.""

history does show that Armstrong can get away with even televised bullying and still get off the hook.
Look at the Simeoni incident, and once his initial macho bullying had died down and he had to explain himself to the Italian authorities the story changed to "the wierd thing was i was riding at the front and suddenly found myself alone......."
At the end of the day its Armstrong's word against Hamilton's the only difference being that Hamilton is unlikely to get a nice out of court settlement fee, which at least Simeoni rightfully got to boost his retirement fund.
thanks

Its not against the law to be an a-hole, bully. Rich people tend to be a-holes and bullies because they think they're better than the rest of us normal non rich folks. Rich athletes are the extreme of that. So he maybe a bully but at last look they'res no bully law in effect tocharge him with. I'm sure the anti LA people in here wish there was.:D

I don't have a problem with the "defending" part.
Lance or otherwise.

The "attacking" part sometimes makes me feel bad though.
But just joking when I do that. Not serious.

Like calling Tyler a "Drama Queen".
C'mon, Tyler a "drama queen"? No way.
Just joking lol.
