Nike rarely drops people. See Tiger. I think Vick was one of the few athletes they didn't stand by. Even with Kobe they stayed with him, they just didn't push him as much as they would have until a couple years passed.

Those guys are still playing in the public eye. Lance jogging for a cover shot on Runner's World hardly qualifies as sponsor-worthy. My guess is the yellow booths at Nike Town's around the US will be gone soon along with his ability to sell anything.

I doubt that the US Attorney cares in the slightest whether Lance Armstrong visits a bike race. Such a visit would trigger an indictment only in a fantasy.

You forget that the French also have their own investigation of Armstrong right now

This is all very intriguing. It's interesting that he's going to France.

When Armstrong announced his return and got into Astana's party, one of my first thoughts was whether he was anxious about Contador eclipsing his record. Contador was doing exceptionally well and I think is one of the few to win 3 grand tours in the same year, isn't he? Plus he was working under Bruyneel, so what was to stop him from collecting 7 or more trophies. I'm sure this thought was discussed already, but I may not have been reading the forum as regularly then.

I'm lucky enough to be live on the scene.

ESPN.......

Geezus, man, don't you ever get tired of making things up? When many forum members and even moderators(!!!) call you on your posts (probably from an alternate universe) that never intersect with reality, do you ever think that running for forum village idiot may not be a worthwhile pursuit?

Oh, and clue us in on where exactly "the scene" is. If not on this planet then no response is necessary.

Great post Cal_Joe. I guess no response settles the question of which planet.

But maybe no response means theHog is still camped out at ESPN and his smartphone battery died, thus he is not able to provide details/pictures of a perp walk. Wow. The one time a prediction has come true and the phone lets him down. Bummer. Especially now that the perp walk is on all the major sites/networks.

I have not seen anyone claiming that. The French have said they are waiting until the Fed's conclude their case prior to filing charges. The Fed case continues to expand so it will be a few months, at least, until anything happens.

There exists between France and the USA an information sharing convention for criminal cases. Novitzky has apparently made use of that convention in accessing all LA's dope tests and samples held by the French.

If the French want to proceed against LA it would be wiser and cost efficient to wait until after all evidence has been amassed by the FDA (with the assistance of the IRS and FBI holding known separate investigations into LA) and tested in Court.

You could lose alot of money betting against the Gendarmare being trigger-happy with every other Euro law force making busts. An arrogant American might prove to be too tempting.

Gotta say that either scenario would be worth waiting for!!
With the cancer back in France, the French might be keen to eradicate it once and for all.

Seems you can't read very well.

Team RadioShack’s main sponsors have agreed to a two-year extension of their sponsorship contracts with the world’s No. 3-ranked UCI ProTeam.

Horner's ride at the Tour of California may have helped the deal.

A source close to the negotiations has told VeloNews that RadioShack, Nissan and Trek will all continue to back the U.S-based team through the end of 2013.

There was no immediate response to an e-mail sent to the team’s title sponsor.
I said it wasn't Radioshack but all three sponsors.

i also commented that I doubted that Radioshack would be as prominent.

Capisci?

But you must admit, MarkvW, that all these INCORRECT predictions made by so many of the haters over the last year or so have been VERY entertaining.
Some are Precious. Some are Classics. All Entertaining.

But the arrest will come someday.
And then we will have the next stage.
The I TOLD YOU SO stage.
I told you so! I told you so! I told you so!
D-Queued, thehog, Dr. Maserati, Race Radio, Granville57, Benotti69, Cimacoppi49, MacRoadie, sniper, Thoughtforfood, JMBeaushrimp, python, Moose McKnuckles, Hugh Januss, Berzin and mewmewmewkitty.
I told you so! I told you so! I told you so!

Dont get me wrong - the "I told you so" stage will be highly entertaining too.
Its just that it will not last very long.
The Haterz Evil Laughter will peter out all too quickly sad face.

And then what?
What happens here in the Clinic?
Turn out the lights, the party is over?

The "I told you so stage" is coming for a whole different group of US pro and amateur riders, as well as a team owner and manager, etc. Not ones many have been focused on - some people have it right. Of course they really tried to get Lance (and others).

1. I have not predicted
- an arrest
- any timeframe

Nor, have I even offered a desired timeline.

2. I am saving my laughter for the end. But, go ahead and get your laughter in while you can.

Dave.

For me "TheHog" has just become "The boy who cried wolf." I'm pretty disappointed and will add an extra few grains of salt to all of his posts from here on out. Any idea if this was entirely pulled out of his @$$ or was there some truth behind it and if so what happened?

Why don't you go ahead and find where I predicted Armstrong's arrest. Better yet, how about a post where I even suggest I am looking forward to it. If you can't, maybe you should keep your mouth shut.

Irritating as he can be, Polish didn't even mention you. Little bit of a harsh post in that light wouldn't you think?

haters, such an easy word to throw round on internet forums!

The party is not over till the last doper stops ;)

I pity the fanboys having the long walk home with their tails between their legs when all their hopes have been dashed on a fake idol.
