think about all the Southern Californians that know this not to be true. There are so many pharmacies in TJ that if they don't have what you want, they will suggest a quick lunch or additional shopping and it will be delivered and waiting when you get back. Cera/Micera is not as easy to get as asprin but not much harder. Lots of stories of trolley riders or guys taking a 40 dollar bus from LA to get all kinds of stuff done in Mexico. You can get x-rays for single digits, dental and medical work done for pennies on the dollar. Not testifying to nay qualifications or quality just saying if you need somebody to inject you and you live in the first world that borders the 3rd it's pretty f-cking easy. In Berlin you can go into Poland and get anything you want, pick a country bordered by ex-commie habitat and Cera is available legally

What you’ve described is still illegal. But why would cyclists who predominantly live and race their biggest races go to Mexico? Armstrong is not going to be wasting his time tripping over the border into Tijuana to get his load. And he’s not going to send Tyler Hamilton there either. Nice try but all you did was validate my point. To obtain drugs, to source them, to purchase them and to traffic them to several different points across Europe you need a network and you need that network to operate “clean” – without a trace. That’s where Switzerland comes in.

No reason to keep it a secret?
Looks like a loss for Lance?
I suppose...

But what if the judge ruled in favor of the motion.
Motion asking for an FBI investigation into all the leaks.
Might make sense to keep that secret too?

What if monkeys suddenly burst out of your anus? lol

I'd think it would be pretty hard to rule if they didn't already know where the "leaks" came from. You are putting the cart before the donkey.

You did not answer my question:

Would it make sense for the judge to keep secret a ruling in Lance's favor?
A ruling that calls for an FBI Investigation into the many leaks.
Yes it makes sense?
Or No, it doesn't make sense.
What does a second year law student think?

The FBI will determine where the leaks came from btw.
They are Hard Core. Men in Black.
Not a cart behind a donkey.
But the FBI behind the wheel of a large automobile.

The UCI allegedly protected him to their financial benefit from his "donations".

The UCI definitely protects the myth. Recall when the Tyler Hamilton story broke on '60 minutes.' The UCI provided a letter denying any shenanigans with the Wonderboy Tour of Switzerland test results.

Did somebody on Team Wonderboy call the UCI and they jumped right on the task? The UCI certainly didn't think it up for themselves. No one in the industry bothers to ask how that got done in such a hurry when the receipt for a Sysmex(?) blood spinner has never been produced among other things Pat never got around to doing to prove the UCI's sanctity as a sanctioning body.

With a copy of the prescription attached?

Having in your possession a drug that requires a prescription without that prescription is in breach of the law in most countries. That is the main concern of doping athletes dealing in black market PEDs

Why do you think that Lancie obtained a backdated (Spanish) prescription in 1999 for the corticoids? Lack of prescription was against the law. Lack of a TUE was only a breach of UCI rules.

In Latin American countries a prescription is the easiest thing in the world to obtain.

This is the kicker-if you have a prescription, you can carry a 60-day supply of prescription drugs either across the border or on an international flight coming into the US without bother.

So even though PEDs are technically not available to the general public in the US, you can either take the above-mentioned route or go to an anti-aging clinic and have them sort you out.

The problem is the latter option is much more expensive.

The average punter has no clue how inexpensive PEDs are outside the US. And they are made by legitimate pharmacies to boot, same as in the US.

Willy Voet (Festina 98 soigneur) was convicted for being in possession of contraband controlled substances.

Obviously in Europe the providing of prescriptions is tightly controlled so that any significant supplies, say for a 9 member cycling team, could only be sourced from the black market.

After what happened with Bonds (the *** Jury), and Clemens (the *** Prosecutors), I wouldn't be getting my hopes up on Big Tex going to Jail. Would be brilliant to see though.

Bonds was a tough case. I wouldn't blame the jury for the NG.

This doesn't really tip the judge's hand.
The judge is still going to evaluate the facts that Lance's minions present and then will consider the prosecutor's response. If there's enough, she'll order something. If there's not, she won't.

It is important to separate Lance's desire to know what's happening from the relief that Lance is seeking. Lance has no right to know a darn thing about the investigation, just like you and I have no right to know a darn thing about the investigation. The Judge could conceivably grant Lance's motion and then issue a sealed order directed to the feds only.

If evidence of a leak is discovered by the court, the judge is going to do everything she can to interfere with the investigation absolutely no more than is necessary to plug the leak. The judge has a lot of discretion and can fashion a wide range of remedies.

All this assumes that the Judge grants Lance's motion. I don't think that he has presented any kind of evidence that there has been a leak.

Brings back great memories, two of them. Saw the Heads in Prague when we snuck out to have a couple beers and almost lost my job because I got dropped the next morning not even 60k in. Forward five years and I ran across David Byrne playing in a bar in Sterling, Illinois. I wonder if Lance thinks about where he will be in 10 years.

David is a keen cyclist. Still very active rider.

If you implying that Byrne is broke or anywhere close you are probably a few million off. The guy has at least a couple of apts in NYC. I wouldn't call it a portfolio but the one he has off the West Side Hwy would surely bring a million(s). He rides all over the city and it not uncommon to see him around.

He had some strange art exhibit where he turned the inside of a building into an organ, those spaces in Soho cost many 1000's per week to rent.
Good NYC reference, bike racer friend lives in an alcove rent stabilized apt. alcove in NYC means funny shaped studio. He pays @1000 per month. 5 or 6 doors down is a townhouse that Billy Joel bought for his ex wife. It was up for sale for @12,000,000. Bryne lives about 8 or 10 blocks away, he may have bought his place for pennies way back when, but the entire area has sh/t holes to mansions, even a roach motel studio is 8 or 900.000 I am sure the guy has plenty of money without playing Sterling again.
Don't know if Lance's Burning Down The House will leave him w any leftover cash, but if his love shack in Aspen is an indicator looks like he will be fine.
I would trade real estate or financial positions with either guy anytime

Yeah, I saw one doing that when I was out riding my bike yesterday. There was no case before him, and nobody was trying to admit any evidence, but he just stood in his front yard ruling. Or was it drooling? Anyway, it was very strange.

I hope you feel better after imagining what it may have been that I meant. You seem to be pretty proficient at that.

Sounds like a judge who went on senior status. :)

I did the best I could. I assumed ,I guess incorrectly that you viewed Byrne playing at some little prairie club to be a step down, or that he was doing anything to make ends meet.
In 10 years Lance and I will be on the line racing for a 20 dollar cash prime or a water bottle filled with whatever Cytomax flavor they couldn't sell at the bike shop.
Maybe Lance will be doing downtown bike tours of Austin wearing a fifth generation pair of Bellwether touring shorts and some Keen bike shoes that look like earth shoes w spd cleats. Am I close to what your thinking?
Will Lance be truing wheels at a shop in downtown Austin rooming up w Levi and Chad Gerlach in a 20 year old motor home? Will Lance perfect his swimming skills and mule EPO across the Mexican border? Am I close? Will Lance call David and form a super group where Lance powers all the equipment from a generator attached to a turbo trainer? Will Lance get wind of the feds coming to cuff him and retreat to the woods of Colorado only to be sighted like a chupacabra/sasquatch endurance fugitive ? I just can't figure out what you are thinking, I know it's about Lance and the Talking Heads.
I hope Lance doesn't go to work at a puny, dusty night club in Illinois, is that what you are saying?
