Now this year you feel there is no relish?
Why the change of heart?
Don't get me wrong. I'm no scrooge.
Important to spend quality time during the holiday seasons.
But it would have been nice if the Grand Jury could have been wrapped up in the traditional 18 months.
That clock is just about to tick tock out on that.
Have to file for an expensive extension?
What is the procedure for an extension?
Maybe indictments will be launched right under the wire?
Hail Mary Pass?
Buzzer Beater?
Tape Measure Home run?
Race Radio said:This is far from over, it has just begun.
Race Radio said:Fabiani needs to get his lies straight.
First he said that George's testimony was a Grand Jury leak, now he admits that George never spoke to the Grand Jury. George volunteered to talk to the Federal investigators, something some of use have been saying for months.
“It’s the cycling world and it’s a small world, so when witnesses are going before the grand jury at least in the past we’ve always known about it. In addition journalists from the AP stake out the grand jury room in Los Angeles every Wednesday afternoon so they know who is coming and going and they’ve not reported anybody since last October,” Fabiani said
Dr. Maserati said:Yip - its quite a change from this quote to ESPN right after the CBS piece:
"In its unpardonable zeal to smear Lance Armstrong, CBS has also attacked the reputation of George Hincapie," Armstrong spokesman Mark Fabiani said in a statement Sunday. "We are confident that the statements attributed to Hincapie are inaccurate and that the reports of his testimony are unreliable."
Race Radio said:Armstrong, and others, have already received their target letters for the Qui Tam case.
Thanks for the link to the old thread. Notice this
red_flanders said:Quite honestly, I don't see anything in that quote or the story that does anything but add credence to Fabiani's message that the "reports of his testimony are unreliable".
When you say "he" - whom do you mean?red_flanders said:Seems the reports that have him testifying to a Grand Jury may well have been unreliable. Either way, I don't see Fabiani ever confirming that GH testified before the GJ, at least not in the quoted story.
RR generally knows what he's on about though, so I don't doubt that Fabiani said this, but can someone link to a story where he actively responds in some way confirming that GH did testify before a GJ? Thanks.
Dr. Maserati said:C'mon- this is what he said at the time:
"We are confident that the statements attributed to Hincapie are inaccurate and that the reports of his testimony are unreliable."
Now Fabiani is saying 'oh ya - GH did talk to the Feds, just not to a Grand Jury, even though we don't really know who has been in front of the Grand Jury, we think its 10 or maybe more, or maybe less.
Also, no-one has spoken since last October, even though we are not really sure who has are has not been called because the bloody court sealed the documents when we tried to find out who has been called.
did I mention that its all a waste of taxpayers money."
When you say "he" - whom do you mean?
If you mane GH, then GH certainly has not confirmed it (or denied it).

red_flanders said:I mean Fabiani. Look, it's not like I believe there is anything but spin in what Fabiani says about anything, I just wonder now if George actually did talk to the GJ. I still see nothing in what you've quoted in which Fabiani confirms GH talked to the GJ. In fact he seems to pointedly call it BS.
Two points/questions for me in this thread. One, did GH actually talk to the grand jury or not? Seems we don't know for sure. Two, I have yet to see evidence that on this one point, Fabiani is backtracking as some have stated.
Not that any of it is going to make any difference in the end.
Race Radio said:Armstrong's legal team made a filing in July claiming leaks of confidential testimony. At this point in the investigation the only testimony that is confidential is the testimony that was done in front of the Grand Jury. In their complaints, and statements to the media, they consistently complained about GJ leaks. In fact the title of their motion to dismiss is "Grand Jury Leaks"
In their motion Armstrong's legal team claimed that 60 Minutes had said that George Hincapie had "recently appeared in front of the Grand Jury and testified" .....60 Minutes never claimed this and it never happened.
The motion was 100% deflection and misinformation. Every claim is easy to refute. Armstrong's legal is either doing this intentionally or they have little understanding of the legal system and what is happening with the case.

You have been saying it for years now.
Far from over.
Big Deal. I have been saying "waste of taxpayer money" for a long time too.
Waste of Taxpayer Money. True today as it was a long time ago.
But what is the point of quoting yourself?
A bit pathetic don't you think?
Patting yourself on the back for an obvious statement.
Although patting yourself on the back is a great stretching exercise while riding. Especially on long rides. Great for the neck and shoulders. Try it![]()

Kretch said:RR, to the bold, given the calibre of his team it must be the former. He sure has some talent in his corner - reminiscent of his TdF teams.
Polish said:Keker/Peters/Luskin/Daly/Fabiani
That is like having Merckx/Hinault/Kelly/Coppi/Cipo on your cycling team..
MUCH more awesome than any of Lance's TdF Teams.
Its unfair really.
But they will be no match for RR and TFF.
TFF even has a minor in the Maths I think.
