a lot of other teams have failed to do so to. its not as easy as you think.

yep, liquigas and lampre performed far worse. They were poor. BMC had 3 riders in the finale. Liquigas and Lampre had 1 each. They had far bigger numbers at the start. Good to see that the Italian BMC riders are showing form.

yes its good to see that santamorita has good form I hope he can use it to support cadel in the mountains. Hope they win the suisse RR. maybe burghardt can spark a surprise in the german RR.

Yep, German nationals are on a hilly circuit. Might be difficult for Marcus but we'll see.

I am pretty sure it is a hilly course so maybe Frank, Kohler or Morabito. It is hard to say because most of those guys have good form. They have a lot of cards to play with this team...

Frank, Kohler, Morabito, Schar, Wyss, Zanher & Tschopp

yeah, bmc have gone well so far in the nationals as they have got results in the us, swiss and italian nationals. I wonder if MOinard is competing in the French nats?

I noticed that Freddy Bichot won the French Elite Amateur RR, I guess he will get a contract now, or at least got his name out there.

Yeah, he won Paris-Roubaix in sort of the same way. He did everything right in that last lap, strong and clever guy. I hope he gets a spot at Rabo Pro.

I think we'll see one more youngster make the jump this season.

Sinkeldam (22yo) or Jetse Bol (21yo) I would suspect to move up.
IMO Bol will get a contract.

Tom Dumoulin is another I like, I believe is still only 20, although I like him he wont be moving up.

Belgian Nats today! Go Tomke ! Although he'd rather not wait for a bunchsprint to win; wants a select group.

Don't think that's going to work out though, not a lot of wind here in West-Flanders

Go van avermaet. seems like the course suits him.

If he wants to wait for a sprint it does, but Tomke, Steegmans are faster. If those 2 go to the line together + a group, Tomke takes it with Steegmans as the leadout man :p

Yeah, I was wondering about that when you said Boonen didn't want a sprint. Who exactly could beat him, other than Steegmans? Keukeleire out of nowhere? Sadly, with Weylandt gone there's not much else (I don't expect any of the Lotto fast guys to beat Boonen).

"Ik houd serieus rekening met een zege van een outsider. Het is gevaarlijk om op het BK op mijn spurt te rekenen, maar ik doe dat wel als het moet. Ik heb er vertrouwen in dat mijn spurt, zelfs internationaal, nog goed genoeg is."

He says it's dangerous to wait for a sprint; but in the newspaper of today - De Zondag- he claims that he doesn't want to wait for one...

What an inspired name for a Sunday paper ;) He doesn't sound very convincing though. What's up with the low countries and real sprinters? We don't seem to have them.

"Yeah, in theory my sprint is still good enough, even at an international level, but... you know, I don't want some nobody to come out of nowhere and beat me, that'd be embarrassing. Much better to try from afar and be able to justify my defeat by saying I lost too much energy before the sprint!"

Bring back Freddy Maertens! Boonen just pusies out when it comes to a sprint :/ Gent-Wevelgem proved he still had the speed...
