tough day, first your euros now this :p

Worst was obviously not seeing Gesink ply his trade. While it's understandable why he wasn't up there, the one thing I always give Gesink credit for is that he doesn't doubt or hesitate, maybe he would've reacted to the Kolobnev-Rodriguez-Evans move unlike the 'big favorites' who waited around holding their d!cks in their hands.

Wow:eek: Cadel is World Champion a very deserved win:eek:

What a finale! What an attack! CE takes it and finally, gets the big W :)

I think the Eurosport commentator said it ... if you say Evans doesn't attack now, you'll have to eat your hat.

;)

Awesome stuff by Cadel, I am so stoked to see him do it after all he's been through. BTW, how funny was that commentator just going off "you what, you didn't even stay for the podium... that's bolloc.s JC" at his producer. Then the producer tells him he's still on. funny stuff. maybe cadel has just been lulling them into a false sense of security all these years with his lack of attacking!:D

he has a point. He has to sit through all the early laps, filling the void with chat and then when the medals come out he gets cut off lol.

I got the feeling he didn't realize what he had just done when he came over the line.

Now I might be a Cadel-critic most of the time and I stand by that, but this win was nothing less than great. He finally has something to be remembered by for generations to come.

Congrats Aussies.

Yah, I just looked it up yesterday, last road win was in '02. He better start practicing for the next time.

Does this salvage Silence-Lotto's year? If Retirement Shack doesn't pick up Horner, will he go back to S-L?

I remember him winning road stages this year at the Settimana Internazionale and last year at Paris-Nice, so not sure where you're getting 02 :)
