The edinbugger lost in Fide thinks that I hate Bertie....But really I was only commenting on Gilberts socks...but I prefer Bertie on the red Bike, I just chucked that in for good measure..
it may be a bit hard to understand....just be thankful we don't type in Scottish slang, nobody would have a clue what we were talking about.

I'd prefer a Bettini type of rider potential any day rather than a "just below the GT podium".

I agree, some people are really obsessed with GTs. Why risk the chance to lose weight etc for maybe getting a podium at a GT when you already know you are good enough to win classics and short stage races...

I agree.
My posts were simply just stating the obvious: Alaphilippe will target a GT some day. Therefore I was speculating how well he'd do. Its inevitable he will come to a point where he wants to win one of those some day considering his immense talent.
Also, I don't really think Alaphilippe needs to lose weight and if so, not more than 1-2 kg anyways. He is extremely lean.
And at other times they refuse to send cycling because they need to rerun some speed skatingsir fly said:ES1 - PN
