Matthews finished 7th last year on a hillier and slightly longer course, so I wouldn't discount him either. But with the bike sponsor switcheroo between Jumbo, BikeExchange and DSM, things could be different today.

yeah, also for Roglic of course. Last week he said that he can't say much about his new time trial bike - not sure if that's due to not having it used much, or his general preference of not saying much, though ;)

Wow, Izagirre is third at the checkpoint (I know, we still miss a lot of riders). He has not impressed on his TT bike the last couple of years.

I thought Dennis would win pretty comfortably but a lot of riders coming close now. I'm not sure that's the winning time.

What's the point of disc brakes on a TT bike on such a flat course when you're not even braking. It's just an added drag, since rim brakes on a TT bike are usually hidden within the frame. It might be just a watt, but it makes no sense.
