Winner of PR?

Unless he's sick or injured, Jumbo leaving Jorgenson at home is positively moronic.
He has had a run of tough races and done great. Ronde he ran completely empty though. PR might be one race too many, they dont want him to crash out also, and he should rest now. Then build for the summer.

Let the Van Dijke twins have a go... should be a race that could suit them very well. Laporte and Van Baarle. Hagenes. It is a strong team.

Another impressive thing about it was that neither that WC jersey nor the wins in RVV and PR were his first ones in those races his career. He already had all the monuments and a second WC. And he was only 28 at the time.
Rik Van Looy is one of the very best classics riders of all time. He's also the only one who won all 8 original classics, at that time considered the biggest (5 monuments + Paris-Tours, Paris-Brussels and Fleche Wallonne), feat that also Eddy Merckx didn't do (he was missing Paris-Tours).
And Mathieu Van Der Poel has a good chance to join "Emperor of Herentals".

Tom Pidcock in, for some reason. He hates Roubaix, lol.

Wth, Ineos is so random.

For a guy who couldn't put weight on his leg 5 days ago, doing several kilometers of cobblestones seems appropriate.

By the way, anyone knows whats up with Theodor Storm, podium at Roubaix Junior last year? Not much use in getting swept away last minute from a continental team to a WT squad just to not have any racing at all.

He became unwell after his track duties in Apeldoorn in January this year and needs to take rest. No date disclosed on a potential return, but he did mention there is 'a plan'.

From March 4:
Some of you might be curious as to where I’ve been after a crazy end to 2023 and start to 2024.
It’s been an extremely exciting period - with the announcement that I’m joining the INEOS Grenadiers and starting off my 1st senior year with a good result at the European track championships.
Unfortunately, soon after my national track duties, I became unwell and have had to take time out to focus on rest and recovery as a result. The good news is that I’m doing well, thanks to the great support of my medical team and of course my family too.
I’m fully focused on feeling better and we’ve got a solid plan in place around my recovery, so I’d appreciate the space to focus on that for now.
I’ll keep you updated and let you know how I’m getting on!
Thanks

Pidcock saw the mud and wanted to do this CX race. Good to see him here but maybe a little risky with the hill classics coming up.
I guess he just wanted some type of racing to build up for them. With Ineos not racing Brabantse this is the only race on their calendar...it's a shame no one has told him it's the hardest one day race that takes a week to recover from...

still, exciting to see how he gets on.

I think Morgado. Interesting to see anyway so early in their careers their both showing very early sign in the classics.
Tarling's engine is made for Roubaix, I think he is going to do really well if he can stay away from the trouble. Far fewer turns, far less stop-and-go. I remember him doing really well as a first year junior in that soaked edition a few years back.

it's very possible. as I was disappointed at Flanders. I'm not a hater. I just hope someone else wins.
its more open in Robauix. Vdp is not that superior to anyone else there like he is in flandern (anyone not named Pogacar which last years proved)

But in Robauix he very well be the best but that gap aint that big as it is in flandern so the room for error goes down so it can happen for sure.

anyone else getting Barcelona '94 chicane vibes this weekend? (for those who dont know, Barcelona was the first race track they raced on following the deaths of Senna & Ratzenberger at Imola. To slow the cars down, they put in this godawful tyre chicane which ended up causing problems & nor did it prevent serious injuries from happening that weekend)

Not really, I‘d say this is more like Spa 1994, when they had the Eau Rouge chicane.
