Sagan tremendously strong today. He would have probably finished in the Froome group if the peloton had stayed within striking distance of the breakaway.
Why you thing that?He did his every stage work nothing special today(well he didn't have even reason for that). He tried to escape at beginning of the stage but bunch didn't let him go.

Did you notice the hit Sagan got from one of the Giant guys at 6km to go? No wonder he isn't too happy about riding in the finale of stages. At around 3:26 time http://www.steephill.tv/players/720...3&dashboard=tour-de-france&id=x4jlzwf&yr=2016

Yeh that wasn't very nice, specially since there was more road furniture

Hard to tell there, it's quite possible that the Giant rider also got a push and there was nothing he could do about it.

That looks like your standard body check, as deliberate as can be. Very sinister given the traffic situation as mentioned above.

Good catch PeterB.

He was having all sorts of trouble getting up the steepest hills, so I'm not sure how he could have finished in the Froome group.

SAGAN, 74TH DAY IN THE LEAD OF THE POINTS COMPETITION

Taking part in his 89th stage of the Tour de France since he first started in 2012 in Liège, Peter Sagan leads the points competition for the 74th time, according to @letourdata
This man is the Messiah.

Horrible sprint by Sagan today. Green competition could be interesting this year. It is time to pull his crazy attacks :D Could start tommorow ;)

Once we get into the mountains, Sagan will still pick up points at the intermediate sprints and it will stop being interesting.

Doesn't help that Cavendish only cares about stage wins, and doesn't really try for the intermediates.

Uhhhmmmm... You know Sagan won stage 2, and took the yellow jersey.

Sagan is already leading the Green Jersey competition and will most likely win it, with another stage or two.

Oleg will not know what to do with all the jersey's Tinkoff wins in this Tour, although the final GC will not be one of them...

There are 9 flat stages in this Tour, that is almost half of the entire Tour de France. Flat stages also give more points than harder stages (god knows why). It's really an incredibly unfair competition for someone of Sagan's capabilities. If Cav can't win it this year he should commit seppuku.

(To the PC crowd: don't take the last part too serious ;))

Not yet and If Cav.really will go to Paris.....well..then he really needs to start to pick up some points.Question is how much he really care about that jersey this TDF(all ready yellow+stage win+good contract in the pocket).
