All the other races will sort themselves. Absolutely no race is going to say no to Katusha if the defending and 2 time UCI world number 1 says he will be there.

You've got to tell it to Purito. Why is he insisting on leaving Katusha if they don't get the WT License.
ASO may have indicated that they will not invite Katusha unless they get a WT place.

Remember, they didn't invite Astana in 2008.

Christ. Sometimes it seems like cycling is stuck in the 5th ****ing century where it takes years for 2 parties to make simple communications because thats how long it takes the messenger on horseback to go to and thro.

You phone up Prudhomme, you ask if Katusha is going to get a wildcard because the ****ing livelyhoods of like 60 people depend on it. And based on that answer rather than drag everyone through 2 months of this nonsense, ****ing up seasons and races, you get the answer you need and proceed with what has to be done

Seems the UCI World Number 1, Rodriguez doesn't quite agree with you ;)

Not as simple as that it seems.

I think the chances of Katusha folding are close to 0%. It's a three team project.

Up until yesterday that chance was >50%. Right now I'd say you're right and the project will go on one way or another

UCI stepped up since Pat took over. Pigeons are now in operation:

What are you yapping about?

I see you yapping if I read your paragraph correctly ...

Phoneing Prudhomme doesn't seem to work as as well as you're suggesting mate... ;)

So J Rod "doesnt agree" with me that phoning Prudhomme is easy? How do you know that?

Because he wants to leave Katusha if they are not in WT ....

That would mean getting to Tour and other WT events might not be as easy ... If it was, he'd stay with the team. and he clearly stated he'd leave if not WT..

I imagine Purito's camp has contacted the race organisers concerning wild cards and he knows where he stands. Whether that be "stay at katusha, we have your back", "any pro-conti team, but katusha or perhaps(insert other disliked team here)", or "if you want these races go protour". The difference is he knows, we don't. So I'd say we'll be able to guess a few wildcards once a move or non move is announced.

This MPCC is just the usual pathetic attempt to look "clean" imho.
I cant understand why ASO would give so much credit to it.

How many teams have been known for being relatively clean beside having issues later on and how many "ethics code" has been writen beside not being followed afterward?

It's like that 4 million deposits for get World Tour license and then ending up selling bus for pay the team wages.

Anyway enough OT.
Hope Purito can find a way out or hopefully Katusha sort it out.

Who the f*** is Rodriguez that ne needs his personal entourage of FOUR Spaniards (Losada, Florencio, Vicioso, Moreno)? Even Contador has "only" three men (Hernandez, Noval, Paulinho).

Rodriguez is a little bit overrated and hyped.

How's a rider that was very close to winning 2 GTs be labeled 'overrated'?

What I like about that interview is that Rodriguez says that he has to be a more "boring" rider. Being so spectacular was, according to him, what prevented him from winning the Giro and the Vuelta...

Didn't he do, like, zero attacks during the Giro? Those short uphill sprints, I don't call them attacks. And he needs them for the bonus seconds.

He did try something on the Mortirolo on the Stelvio stage, and on the Bola del Mundo in the Vuelta. And admit, it's hard to attack when you're wearing the leader's jersey, when it's not your responsibility to attack. Even Contador does nothing but react to others, and attack in the last km, when he's in the GC lead.

He just podiumed in 2 grand tours and won 2 classics all in the same year, that's who he is.

I assume you are talking about the biciciclismo interview? Where does he say anything about him being spectacular?

Only thing he says is that he maybe was too confident about himself and that, when he was a leader, he should have focused more on result only and been on Alberto's wheel 24/7 (referring to Fuente de).

He says himself he should be more boring. When he's already a Menchov with a better sprint.
