see...that's the story of his proffesional career in europe..mega talent but crashed everywhere..i still remember tour de france 2011 where in my opinion he would have beaten easily cadel and the schlecks...that didn't end well either...in this vuelta, the stars did align. at least next year i hope he will be healthy for some races.
I dont think so, he was strong, but the route in the Tour was quite different than in the Vuelta (although just one ITT in the end and no so flat), he need very steep climbs to make de difference, but anyway he could be in the fight with them and the others riders who crashed as Wiggins, JVdB, etc...
He has very bad luck, but he will come back and win something important again
