With all due respect to Kevin Kuhn, if he's still in the mix then the big 3 (for today) haven't well and truly lit things up yet.

pidcocks said his knee was still a bit sore. and he doesn't seem to be putting it under full pressure on the uphill road section. Gotta fully recover for the road.

Really strong by Van der Poel, Van Aert looked the strongest for most of the race but he let himself get played there. I don't know if this really changes the power dynamic for the Worlds, but MVDP rode with a lot more confidence than the last few races.

wow, MvdP looks super happy on that podium….. not!
even though he won, he does not look like he believes at the moment. Still wouldn’t bet against him though come Hoogerheide.
There has been an element of choking for MVDP in previous Worlds in his home country. He came in as the red hot favorite twice and both times Van Aert beat him. Not just beat him, destroyed him.

Maybe not being the out and out favorite will actually help him this time.
