Breakaway final 19k. Led by Lord Armstrong. Boonen Breschel Chavanel Gilbert.fight to hold Armstrongs wheel. 7k out lead group fired up by Armstrong Breschel, Chavanel go down in corner. Leaves Armstrong Gilbert Boonen.3k out from finish Lance takes a pull and then ATTACKS! Gilbert and Boonen struggle to hold Armstrongs wheel. The elastic snaps at 2 to go Lance stands attacks again and wins by 33 seconds over Boonen and then Gilbert.

Lance raises his arms in victory. Women swoon and men burst into tearful elation. A single ray of sunlight illuminates Lance in the grim Belgien late afternoon as Lance holds his trophy aloft to the heavens.

Imagine if Lance won or a RS rider won RVV. This forum would go crazy!

there is nothing they've showed this season to imagine anything of sorts.

its far easier to imagine that any placing will cause 'everything per the plan' prefabbed flood of twittering and press releases. if crashed, or placed last, it will spun as 'risk free strategy', if he won it will be spun as 'lance told us' if he crashed it will be spun as 'heroic courage of a 38 yo champion', if a RS guy placed well it will be spun as due to 'loyal support of lance'.

The reason I watch this team. Kloden Lance Horner Popo Zubeldia Demol Bruyneel

Is Klodi wearing makeup?

I note to the right of the video there are some photos of the Radioshack team training for Flanders. In the first few photos Lance is leading the team and once the road goes up they all pass him plus an Sky rider! Ha! There is also a shot with his winter jacket open showing a rather rotund gut.

I suppose it's possible that one of the RS guys could get into a lucky breakaway, but LA himself? I'm pretty sure that would be a sign of the apocalypse.

How did I forget about Voigt???

The only guy from their Tour team they've lost is Arvesen and I would say that Breschel and Fuglsang make for more than adequate replacements.

RadioShack had a good showing today in the Basque country. This team is so much more interesting when LA is not in the race, as they have different cards to play. Horner looked strong today, and that young Ben Hermans had a good finish. Didn't really see much of Kloden, even though he's wearing #1 for this race, so not sure what will happen there.

If only Lance would retire, I could root for this team. (Well, not Levi, but the rest of them.)

Would be an entirely different team, would like to see how they go about their business. Someone may even get to the top of a hill and try to win something. Macchado aside...who isn't even considered for the tour, probably because he tries too hard early in the season.

I bet you have U'r own hat their, Polisher of Hornz.

So, let's talk about the actual race, shall we?

Horner was impressive today. No doubt about that. It's great to see the guy in form.

Rodriguez is strong as well, but let's face it. Valverde is a talent. He animates the race and he's an exceptional closer. I haven't been a fan, but he's winning me over.

Enjoy those standings tonight. For Pais Vasco, there are eighteen other guys that same three seconds back, with a mountain stage Thursday and a decent length TT on Saturday. Circuit de la Sarthe is down to 85 riders. Podium Cafe didn't even include the race in the Virtual Director Sportif competition, and they had six levels of races this year. Luis Leon Sanchez will win. If Radio Shack can win the team competition over the likes of CSF INOX and Auber 93, well they deserve the accolades they earn, and the prize of a gift certificate for two to Rouge Lobster.

Nice job by Machado, though. Have a great night. See you back here after the next stage:rolleyes:

Thank you I will enjoy them:)

Btw, this could well be the fourth and fifth TEAM Classification Titles for Shack so far this year.
And it is only April.

Hey, you are not mocking CSF INOX and Auber 93 are you? Mean:(

I always thought RadioShack was about one rider, I didnt think it was going to be Tiago Machado. Well done Machado on getting another win for the Shack. At this rate they might have 5 wins by the time the Tour rolls around:cool:

I think Machado should go to the Tour because he looks the most promising of the Shack riders for the future and would benefit from the experience. But of course Bruyneel or the Shack have no interest in the future.
