Interesting. Every single guy that wins anything is a doper for some of you. I'm surprised that I haven't read anything about Cristiano Ronaldo or Messi being dopers... yet.

Yep, there isn't a mountain of circumstantial evidence against him. It's just that he wins.

Usually do not venture into the clinic but just need to say:

Rafael Nadal winning his 9th Roland Garros title is Grotesque and beyond ridiculous.

And anyone else here suspect Djokovic's mysterious illness/ problems/fatigue might be a case of blood doping related mononucleosis? The timing of his apparent "wrist injury" a month or so ago and the Roland Garros final makes me suspect him. He won Rome and the wrist was fine. Then he gets fatigue, nausea, and a virus in the last days of the French Open.

Speculation about blood doping/ peds is not allowed on tennis forums. I hope Novak does not have mono but...I fear ATP #2 will not be in form by the time Wimbledon comes.:(

Did you watch how miserably Murray played in the French Open semi-final vs Nadal?

I hope you are right about Murray timing his preparations right for Wimbledon. It is tough to watch someone named Nadal or Federer winning more grand slam titles. All so phony! May as well have Murray grab some GS's. Makes the sport look more legit when a variety of names win.

lenric, no one is saying they "have" to dope. here's a brief case for why almost all athletes at the top of their sport dope:

-it varies from sport, but PEDS improve performance a lot. you can train harder, recover quicker, avoid injuries
-in most sports bar cycling, there are no serious efforts to stop people from doping

huge rewards vs acceptable risks. what do you think competitive individuals are going to do, especially if there is a culture of everyone doing it and it therefore being ok?

nadal, djokovic, c ronaldo and messi almost certainly dope. that doesnt mean they dont also work harder and have more talent than their peers. they have. in cycling, it's a bit different because it's not a skill sport so we can be less sure that the winners are the most talented and hard working guys.

What a silly comment, yeah Messi sure does cheat lol. The guy is tiny i honestly doubt footballers use enhancements unless you class recreational drugs. Messi is so tiny and has a real quick acceleratoion i highly doubt he dope's. Football is one of the cleaner sports you never hear of failing a test for Peds, maybe cocaine if you're Adrian Mutu but that is about it.

rafa is charged to the max but yes imo he is one of the greatest tennis players ever. to win 9 rolland garros man...you need more than medicines, hormones and others...maybe one you can get it, but 9 forget about it

tank91, i hope you're joking, you have no idea what it's happening in football. cyclists are saints compared to footballers, just like del moral said. i have friends who play at national level and they went in training in italy. they were shocked how big and strong the 16-17 youngsters, same age as them were. already many, many pills and hormones. they were given to them in one month, injections with "vitamins",they all began to run faster. back in the country, they sucked again lol.
in my country, it's well knows the huge doping in football, there were also heart attacks on the field. at least in cycling that it's not happening.

the world cup is beginning in a few days and as a kid then and huge football fan, i can't forget what happened to ronaldo in 1998 before the finale with france. now i'm absolutely sure to be honest. the legend says it was a seizure(roberto carlos made it up because he really had to find a cause and he knew the actual truth). since then, inter milan doctor already said it was actually a heart attack. at the hospital, his heart was beating at 18 bpm(suck it, indurain!). i would bet that his hematocrit was above 65% for the big finale or at least above 60. football doesn't even now test for epo.no limit.

ronaldo in that day, was watching at formula one grand prix and of course didn't have the grande knowledge of cyclists(who spinned the turbo even at night), keep heart pushing the blood. he was watching at tv with his legs crossed, (big mistake) and the jelly blood couldn't go anymore. brasil was for me was and is a great team but i struggle to find more charged athletes than ronaldo and roberto carlos.

2014 football is even more prepared medically, zero chance if you're not on something to arrive at the top but hopefully, the doctors can take now more care of them to not have them dropped deads on the field

Yes he is talented clearly, but to have such a body as he has and had at 19 years of age is pas normal.. then you consider that Tio Toni Nadal said Rafa barely lifted weights.. give me a break.

Can you link for Ronaldo having his legs crossed on the day of the final, his low bpm and Inter Milan doctor quote. I don't necessarily disagree with you but I haven't seen any of this before. Thanks

Go ask the guys at Juventus. It is well known that football players and clubs have PED-programs. I knew it would be you to come in here and say otherwise.

Nadal

IMO the players do seem to have pegged back a bit this season.

Murray and Djokovic were clearly not the duracell battery rabbits that we saw last year - especially Murray.

Djokovic is clearly on something - his eyes are so dilated he looks like he could be taking amphetamines - maybe Agassi method doping.

Wawrinka threw his first round match - I suspect to make sure he has enough time to withdraw blood for use at Wimbledon - we shall see !

Course Nadal is still doped to the gills.

Did you really post this?

You will find on google if you search. it was hidden until 2012
that it was a heart attack. they said also that he had a position
bad for blood flowing before it happned.
Its crazy that he played the match. he was on
the brink of death also on big dose of sedatives
for seizures. he was a shadow of himself

Just been googling this - that's completely mental that they let him play.

That whole blood platelet treatment Nadal had on his knee, which was supposedly legitimate is indicative of the fact his team are conscious about the power of blood treatments and its power in performance.

That's a very interesting story with nazario ronaldo.

I also remember reading on the football thread here that some doctor said his knee problems in late 90s early 2000s, were the result of steroids that boosted some muscles beyond what the legs can handle.

Can't remember the exact science behind it and it nor how plausible it was.
