Of course it won't mean he is right, i just want to know his opinion. I got the tassie tree hugger quote from your earlier post in 2012. :D

RR won't give us his opinion. Not unless we meet him in person and only a handful of people know who RR really is on this forum. People are easier to read in person or on camera.

As for quoting me, yeah stick with tree hugger over cousin lover. Tassies really don't like the last one, even though the joke has some merit. Okay minor merit. Porte seems to be more in awe of Froome from what I've seen than any skirt in Tassie.

Will be interesting to see chronos from the Tour. Contador, who once beat CANCELLARA, better do better than Rogers and Porte. That doesn't happen...YEAH, not good at all.

but the premise is we are anonymous. papp (may have) betrayed that confidence.

Race Radio IS THE MAN.

I disagree with one or two things he had put forward, this may be one, but i have followed him and his record thru about four unique fora and different handles that i remember. and whenever i have personal messaged him, he has always been very generous in replies, and with a sufficient depth, never a fob off.

so respect and props go out to race radio. i have no interest in who he is outside cycling fora. if i did, i had more than papp's backgrounding sans name. RR have demonstrated a commitment few others have. perhaps only kimmage and walsh surpass. with betsy close.

yeah, if i knew RR, i'd like to buy him a beer. but i dont. and i dont need to. so thanks for the efforts RR

That's my point. I don't need to know who RR is, nor do I need to agree with him on everything. I certainly appreciate the efforts but I was just pointing out that if I really wanted to get the crux on RR's thoughts, that yeah, I'd have to meet him in person. Face to face.

But I don't need to nor want to do that. I certainly am not advocating removing anonymity. That is not needed or warranted IMO.

Blackat and Gallic wtf? I just ask for RR opinion, why wouldn't he give his opinion here, it's not like i want to meet and look at him in the eye.

I know what you're saying. Sometimes I'm like "no chance, they couldn't possible be doping teamwide, it's too risky"

Then I watch Chris Froome and say "hang on a minute!".

Porte is a nice guy. I agree that RR interpretation of their lunch together.

However Porte has said the complete opposite to MA.

Sky are killing everyone. Perhaps they could share their blood profiles to put our minds at ease? Didn't think so.

Nothing's changed.

Is the bolded true and referenced anywhere or did you just sneak in a lie in there to see if it would be noticed?

RaceRadio's opinion on Sky/Froome/Wiggins would be nice to know. just saying.

@TheRaceRadio
Many riders losing large amounts of weight with no loss in power. AICAR test is real, waiting on approval. Why risk retro test positive?

I had lunch with Richie last week. I would be the last person a doper would want to hang out with.

I found him very open, direct, and confident. He was clearly very passionate about the sport and his team. I asked a lot of questions and he gave me very direct, non-evasive, answers. I have had the same discussion with dozens of riders over the years but few have been as direct as Richie.

Because dopers are incapable of simply lying to people whose hobby is outing dopers on the internet?

Agreed. Richie Ullrich would sit down for lunch and map out his doping program on a napkin to some guy off the Internet.

That would be completely normal.

And cyclists never give straight answers to doping questions  What the?

How open, direct and confident was Lance "I've been tested more than any athlete on planet earth" Armstrong when you talked to him?

Did you see some of the responses to his slant of Porte?

Digger ripped him apart...and with good reason.

RR is walking a fine line with talk about Sky like that given the total opposite attitude was given to LA.

Hence all the jokes about the Clinic 12 becoming the Clinic 11 and Clinic 10.

Short story, the tone in the threads is that only a few will put up with more of that. BC happens to be one of them who will make an exception. Then again BC said on Chewbacca's thread that his solution was to LEGALIZE doping. You do know that is the manner in which BC posts and operates from? Hence why he likes Froome. He doesn't think doping is evil, just a means to an end that has been labelled evil.

Hence why I posted what I did. To really find out, given both post in cryptic styles at times, often devoid of opinion (RR just gives facts mostly) you would need to size them up for real in person. Think I'm wrong; has RR come back after his post to state more?

Some people like making waves Zam. The motion in the ocean keeps them going. Give it time and lets see how it all plays out.

PS: BC this wasn't a personal dig...just me explaining how you sometimes sound stance wise on doping. You'd prefer the athletes weren't made criminals for something lots and lots of people do.

AICAR was only banned in October 2010 from memory. A full year after it was clearly being used. The test from memory has been around that long.

Would have been a basic test. Anyone even know what the shelf life of AICAR is in your system? Can't be long. Anyone know anyone serious popped for AICAR? I think I've heard of like one cyclist. Maybe two. The test was not advanced when they brought it in and the riders and teams knew it.

Retrospective testing...yeah we've heard that before. Just like the CERA test's being redone on the 2008 Tour samples for 50 odd riders. We all know how that turned out.

Only the bad eggs are retested. You're protected, ahem, I mean a commodity, then it does not happen. You're disposable and easy to pigeon hole as an example for the media and fans, they will retest you.

should be in a Wiggins, or Hesjedal or Froome thread. Porte is not anorexic

I actually think reports of his weight are lies. He looks heavier than they say he is. I can't see how a guy his size is 61kg. Looks more like 64-65kg IMO. I doubt he is on AICAR. Now other Sky riders...

Another poster child for the Lantern Jaw thread then? Or just a new bobblehead toy?

Quite a few people will get a laugh out of that thread if you have new additions to make.

Can't say I've noticed anything abrupt about Porte's head. Might be because I am not looking.

Froome? Maybe. Wiggins? His skull seems to be getting longer in his face. Maybe it's just me.

Porte hardly resembles the guy who was riding for Praties a few years ago anymore. His whole body shape has changed. Sure, part of it is down to the training required to go from NRS to WT but that doesn't account for all of it. I'm surprised Sky can find a helmet that fits him anymore for starters....

I wasn't following Porte then. I knew of him just before he went to Saxo. So before 2009...nothing.

He wouldn't be the first pro rider radically transform his body shape and composition, let alone pro athlete/sports person. Those threads with pictures are always the best. Compared to his buddy though, Porte looks normal-ish.

RP was running sub 30mins for 10k at the end of an Olympic distance triathlon??

As an amateur triathlete right?

Maybe in Tasmania they put the witches hats in the coles car park a bit too close together...

Alistair Brownlee has ran a 28:32 on the track. 29:31 on the road...

With over 100 variants of EPO on the current market and most of them undetectable, it sure does make the racing in running, cycling, triathlon a lot more enjoyable to watch local swim kids triathletes turn mutants hitting off the front vs big pack finishes of gasping riders.

My tip would be just don't make it so obvious. Calculate a bit more so the gaps aint as big. Be more subtle. Don't ride on the front of the bunch and look back like you are bored at how slow the pace is. Scrunch your face up more. Look like you are hurting. Make the pain look real. Wiggle around on the saddle more. Shake the bars more. When you come across the line, throw your bike down, lay on the ground and get a medic stretcher to carry you off. Make the show look more believable. Too many noobs trying to look cool like Lance with the poker face. Practice wincing in front of the mirror more.
