No-one can dispute that he is looking slim.

Already probably slimmer than any point last year (which is disputable)

Seems like Richie is doing a Dawg. Being sick and losing weight is the key to improve as a cyclist.

It's gonna be fun to see what this slimmed down version can do on the climbs.

Fausto should be happy...the Treviso ITT stage
in the 2015 Giro may still have a winner riding a
Pinarello Bolide. :)

Oh god. Here comes the annual Sky **** show.

Winning by 7 seconds over 40Km, he's going to need waaaay more power months from now. Not kidding.

With the UCI handling all aspects of WT testing in 2015 in direct contravention to the WADA standard, it will be interesting to see if Sky riders can use the dope like they did with Leinders.

I'm looking forward to many, many, more unexplainable performances from practically every team.

Get ready for the "I'm only at 90% of my capacity" disclaimer sometime in the near future!

Leinders is only a phone call away

it was only 7 seconds but he still beat a guy who's going to try for the hour record real soon
Not one, but TWO guys going for the hour record in a matter of weeks, while Richies main goal is in May (or July). Bobridge seems to be having a resurgence of sorts though, shame to see his talent going to waste.

Is Tasmania the 'Tenerife' for some Aussies :D

It's more Bright/Falls Creek in Victoria. That region is swarming with pro's at the moment. I was there from Boxing day to the 2nd of January and saw the entire Drapac squad, along with riders from IAM, Orica, Avanti, Lotto NL, countless NRS guys and Lampre's TDU squad were due to show up any day. There was also a good contingent of Aus rep distance runners having a camp too.

It can be PITA to drive out there if you stay at altitude at the resort at Falls Creek and I think the nearest lab is in Sydney

Any sign of Jimmy Barns or Daryl Cotton?

Altitude you say... Hmm. That sounds like a good time to bank some blood.

Doesn't matter. No one that matters will be testing positive. The show must go on.

TO be fair I think it was a hilly course, suited to a smaller rider.

Bobridge is fit, obviously, but will be training for an indoor, flat, 1 hour effort. And not peaking for another 3+ weeks.

The resort is at around 1750 metres above sea level, the drive to Mt Beauty (the nearest town, at the base) takes a good 30 mins and Bright (the main town in the area) is roughly an hour away. The nearest Airport is nearly 2 hours away at Wodonga and the resort is very quiet this time of year except for athletes, including Simon Gerrans, who goes there quite regularly in the off season, coming from Melbourne, which is almost a 5 hour drive....

2015 is going to be hilarious.

Prediction: We will see a "clean" Sky team reemerge to be a dominant force in the GT's, and some sacrificial goat from the "old generation" who still does well in GT's will go down...and Froome and Porte will allude to suspicions of dirtiness last year. Cookson will be hailed as a savior, and champion of the new "clean" dudes. Froome will win the Tour by 4 minutes, with Porte having to bag a stage so as not to take 2nd or 3rd...to prove that Sky are all hard work, and no dirty filler.
