Hello Lucky boy,

Yes it´s pretty much stuff of Team Androni Giocattoli, the most of the stuff comes from the Team itself, ebay and Bianchi.

But I always tries to find more :)

I will do similiar photo with my stuff from Team Liquigas-Bianchi :-D

Best regards,
Fritz

Yes, if you can find a version that is absent the typical profusion of sponsor names... As a bigger guy, they should be reaching out to me to advertise on my billboard sized torso...

Should we wear team kit? ABSOLUTELY. In fact, nothing but team kit. Because the prices for team kits is far more affordable than all the other anonymous/ generic cycling wear that all the other companies are now making available! It seems that all the other companies, Capo, Pearl Izumi, Castelli are all jumping into the $200+ price point for a simple short sleeve summer jersey!!!! This used to be a price point that was once the territory of Assos. Now everyone is jumping into the pool, headlong. I have not had any problem with Team kit I wear from Vermarc, or Sportful, or even Nalini and Craft. Just what is on the minds of the manufacturers that have hiked the price of cycling clothes so high, so rapidly? I know I will not pay the exorbitant prices these manufacturers are currently demanding. The money is better spent on my bike than on these overpriced clothes. This summer I will be riding in Omega-Pharma Quickstep kit, both Belgian Champ and regular, by vermarc (just, not the carbon forma models) and last years Saxo Bank kit, by Sportful. Really stylish stuff, IMO, and far more affordable apparel than the overpriced garments that are coming on the market more and more these days.

I don't know where you shop, but there is a lot of non-team, reasonably priced kit for sale in stores here in Vancouver. It's never been better value than it is know. The price of everything continues to fall.

Personally, I don't really wear team kit, other than some really old stuff, but that's only because I mostly just wear my (reasonably-priced) club kit.

I second this post. The only reason I don't wear team kits is because they are so expensive (at least for me here in the states.) Generic cycling clothes from Performance or Nashbar or similar places are WAY cheaper than team kits.

Sorry guys but while you both think clothing is getting cheaper, or nashbar and performance are the places to shop. Those conclusions are somewhat off base. Nothing wrong with those two retailers, but try looking on Competitive Cyclist or Colorado Cyclist sites. There you will find: Assos, Castelli, Nalini, Gore, Capo, Louis Garneau, Giordano. When you look at the latest jerseys, the larger number of them are $100 plus. Team kit is not as expensive as a lot of that generic kit, unless you get a couple of the higher end vermarc or Castelli (again) team kits. Art's cyclery sells some affordable priced team kit, as does the Pro bike kit site. Bob's Shop site and all4cycling are good sites too. You guys talk like seasoned shoppers. But prices are doing anything but falling. Open your eyes a little wider and you might find some better looking clothes for better prices. And you'd learn that team kit is no more expensive than any of the other clothes, and is often cheaper, and better looking than some of the geometric chaos that some companies put out there.

It's just me, but I would actually rather pay a little more to get a generic kit, than wearing a team kit.
I would just feel too stupid wearing, say, a Tinkoff-kit, not because I have anything against the team, but because I'm not on the team!

Hmm... nowhereman, did you just tell winkybiker and Jspear that those cheaper-than-team-kits generic kits they've got doesn't count because they're not the right kind of generic kits?

I don't wear team kit either, don't know why really,i suppose its like turning up to play football wearing a real madrid top with ronaldo on the back, just isn't me,but hey,if that's your thang then knock yourself out.

I once seen two of the fattest guys ever (nothing against fat people, they may have had medical conditions leading to their obesity) wearing full Astana team kit trying to ride up a little hill near my house, just made me think "for the love of god, look at these two!" :D

Here in Australia team kits are everywhere, especially Orica, Sky and Garmin. I recently saw a guy with a complete 2013 Garmin kit, S5 in team colours, Garmin helmet, Garmin bidons, Garmin Garmin(!) with a David Millar sticker on the top tube. There's posing and then there's taking the p!ss.

I've also seen photos on the "Full Pro Kit W@nkers" page on FB where there are a few photos of people wearing Team Sky skinsuits - complete with team members name.

But seriously, team kits are everywhere over here and it often seems that there is a direct relation between amount of team kit worn and lack of riding skill. Wear whatever floats your boat but stop and think how you're going to look if you actually run in to someone who wears that kit (or similar) for a living, which is quite possible in the larger cities during the summer.

For a laugh - Emma Pooley bases herself here in Perth over the off season and recently mentioned that there were guys asking how she got hold of the new Lotto kit so quickly, if the kit was women's specific or extra small mens and if it was genuine or an Asian import :D

No trade team kit for me either. Its the sign of a total newbie who has just gone down the bike shop with a credit card.

Amateur riders in Sky kit are particularly vomit-inducing.
No way do I want to see people advertising that Australian rogue's businesses.

Actually its kind of tempting to wear USPS kit in a kind of postmodern ironic way...

No. I did not tell them that. I would never tell anyone that. I don't believe in telling anyone that the clothes they are wearing are inappropriate, whether it be cheap generic kit or team kit. Also, I would never try to make someone feel "stupid" if they were wearing either cheap generic kit or team kit, nor would I be so stupid as to try and put forth an idea that there is a "right" kind of riding kit....as for team kit, I know they're not on the team. They should feel comfortable enough in their own skin, not to think that everyone that gazed upon them thinks they're trying to pull one over on everybody, and pretend they are on the team. I, myself, love team kits, as I've mentioned previously. I think the stuff looks great, and I feel comfortable in it, even though I have no wishes to be a cycling competitor. I'm a helluva ski racer, but that's enough competition for me. Finally, IMHO, My sentiment on some of the cheaper generic kit is that it lacks any style, and in many cases the fit is neither functional or flattering, but then again, that goes for any type of clothing. Sorry if that sounds too judgemental to you. It's just my opinion. Take it with a grain of salt. :) I hope that clarifies my position. My original point was that generic kit is getting outstandingly expensive. Yes, of course you can get cheaper stuff, but the manufacturers are upping the price points drastically. But of course many feel the need to contest any point, even those that often are very obvious.

"Post modern ironic way"...... Hmmm. You don't seem to care to understand why someone might want to wear team kit other than they're a "newbie" needing to use their credit card, but you think anyone that saw you riding in USPS kit would catch the IRONY of your fashion statement. Very interesting perspective you've got there. :D thanks, I'll keep my eyes open for that one!

I was with a buddy, riding in Europe a few years back, and a guy turned up in full Sky kit, and Sky Pinarello Dogma. His name on the kit and on the bike. The works. We thought the worst of this guy until he introduced himself as Brian Cookson, and when pressed, admitted to being the President of UK cycling and a director of team Sky! A really nice guy, perhaps somewhat embarrassed to be wearing the pro-team kit. But hey waddya gunna do?

...but try looking on Competitive Cyclist ....

What's wrong with this Castelli Jersey for $79.95? It's not even on sale. That's the retail price on Competitive Cyclist. Yes, there's stuff that's LOT more, too. But I just don't agree that team kit is better value. Yes, there is very cheap, knock-off team kit available on certain sites, but I think you get what you pay for.

If you choose team kit, nothing wrong with that, but you're doing it for different reasons than price.

Here's a whole page of brand-name jerseys under $50.

Its not for me, but some like it which is why I posted the link. But, I'd probably rather see that than the ubiquitous Sky kit and its USPS forerunner just over a decade ago.

To be honest criteria for my kit is comfort, function, longevity and also not dark colours for jerseys and jackets.
