Possibly a bit too harsh there, but I just really don't like Poels, thats all. Brings all the bad up in me. why the hate?
Yep, and Sky have done a great job so far keeping him at the front. Rowe in particular has been there for him up to the kite, and along with Knees and Golas took up pace-setting when the big boys looked at each other. The only GC guys enjoying as much support have been Gallopin and the Quickstep boys, who ride for the (literally) biggest classics teams. And I doubt the Belgians will be able to offer up the same level of support Sky can put up once the race hits the real hills.gospina said:Agree with him doing great at Paris-Nice but the last two stages have been all about being in the breakaway and/or in the front group. Most of the time, it has been him and one more team mate.

Off the top of my head, it's ITTs that have been his undoing in the past. Tomorrow's stage is very well suited to him. This is by far his best chance yet.
Not even counting the races he lost due to bad TT in his country. It is amazing!Ricco' said:AlexNYC said:Ricco' said:I hope he can break his curse of losing the lead jersey on the last stage of a WT event.

Yes. Vuelta a Colombia 2011, Pais Vasco 2013, 2015, 2016 and Tour of Poland 2015 all had time trials on the last stage.
At least we don't have the Col d'Eze MTT this year.
Vamos Checho!
Nieve was the man imoValv.Piti said:Really good victory. After falling short on so many occasions, he finally got this one. I will remember his vicious attack on Fayence and his fighting sprit on this stage. Very strong character with lots of willpower.
Should not be forgotten that Rowe played a huge part in the victory as well. And his cousin, Sebastian as well. Great work.
