Different rules for different folk.

But should we be surprised. It seems to be everywhere the case in life. Even here in The Clinic. Better not to get upset about it and just keep our eye on the ball.

But it is good you point it out. Sometimes it takes courage to point out injustices, especially when those responsible are part of the injustice.

Seems a very masculine turn of phrase "keep our eye on the ball".

Not because girls don't play games using balls, but more because the "game playing" psychology that leads to such language is decidedly masculine. Things (?) tends to be approached from the POV of a game, for men, far more than for women. Happy for the established ladies of the forum to chime in here. Have been wrong before - often

It is currently suggesting off-topic "why men fail" links in the political influence thread.

'keep our eye on the ball' is not such a surprising phrase when referring to uniballer

Indeed. I hope they don't start responding to each other's posts. That could end in an endless do-loop of increasingly bizarre posts spiraling out of control.

Whether masculine or feminine, it's another example of those mindless milquetoast cliches that the bot spouts that offer nothing substantive.

Look at the last paragraph that you quoted:

But it is good you point it out. Sometimes it takes courage to point out injustices, especially when those responsible are part of the injustice.

The paragraph starts out like a lot of the bot's, with faint praise (again, meaningless). It concludes with an almost tautological sentence that is once again obtuse and ultimately hollow. And yes - why men fail - is completely off topic in that thread.

it's pretty much off topic anywhere... just proof (ha!) that the bot is really a she... like the knitting, etc.

as a female, with the **** to prove it, i find it supremely offensive and misogynistic.

there are enough real females on this board that never feel the need to pull that kind of crap.

...How could someone log in and see a thread such as this and not reply?? A normal person would have some kind of reaction, surely?

That's what I was thinking! That's why I've included a clever title to see if she takes the bait.

Not only does she seem to live everywhere in the world, but she also enjoys taking the train and reading the Süddeutsche Zeitung.

The Laura Lyn Jansen bio says she lives in Austin. Does Austin have a train station? Can you buy the Süddeutsche Zeitung there? Maybe we should get Glenn to go down there and scope the place out.

wonder why the mods are ignoring it or are they? Is LL welcome in the hope that CN attracts the likes of trek, giro, sram back to advertise????

New idiocy by LL. Check this out:

t seems to me that there are business interests between the organizers or the Leadville series and Lance Armstrong. I think the race yesterday was just a preliminary to this year's Leadville 100. I would not be surprised if Leadville unsanctions that race this year so Lance can participate.

This is still part of a power struggle between Lance Armstrong, his business interests, and USADA.

Not sure if you can read or not, but telling me to do what I already suggested in the post above yours seems strange. Not sure if you noticed but what I posted is on topic to the current thread's subject.

ok enough of this... you fellows are no better than laura lynn trying to "out" people, this is going to far stop constantly accusing people of being trolls idiots or bots or I will just infract people and close this thread down, it's a dodgy topic anyway but it is usefull sometimes but everyone is taking this too far... if you think people are trolls or up to no good then report them.. it's going to far here though.

and anyway laura lynn is being investigated by us moderators just now

Lance if Your reading this...Go to Arbitration and Prove Your Innocence

All this Legal maneuvering makes it look as though You have Much to Hide

and Lance All those Times You Steam Rollered to 'Victory' in the Tour de France Sucked.............No Panache!

Anyone Notice recently that in comments sections under Ariticles on Lance v USADA how there are Very Few Armstrong Apologists sticking up for Lance?

has Anyone Seen or Heard Anything direct from Lance recently or is He being Gagged with only the Armstrong Legal Team Allowed to issue statements?

these Days even Polish has more of a Life.........He Lives on at Velo News stating that He was Banned from this Forum for calling a Member a Troll
............no more............mmmmmmmm?

He seems fascinated with and has a good handle on Polish's current status.

is it true? i believe that polish will be free to return from his 3 month break
in a couple of weeks....................he will be happy to see that he was not fogotten

perhaps he will be less happy re lance's non fight

i am amazed to see how little respect appears to be shown for a fellow member in this thread

remember your talking about a person even if you think it's a 'bot'

Again - a Polish fascination, and intimate knowledge of when his ban ends. Can anyone else accurately state when Polish's ban ends? Who would care about such a trivial and yet sad day?

ebandit said:
ha ha! remember polish was funny from time to time

seen any humour from lauralyn?

could that member be ignored by even more than myself?

was thinking? the forum should have an on ignore meter............winner takes nowt

More Polish fanboyism - ebandit seems to have a crush?

True for ebandit also.

ebandit said:
again...............thanks! to everyone posting on the forum it's good to read alternative ideas about issues in cycling

no favourite posters yet

but posters with dodgy avatars put me off

sorry! to point fingers but chrise thehog + thehitch spring to mind..........just a personal thing

+ much better to see posters with unique customised avatars / no famous people

yes! in time polish will be back.................he does seem to be marginally less annoying over at velonews currently

I understand bringing Polish up when discussing sockpupppets, but these posts have all been spontaneous.

Thoughts?

...ok, this may come as a total surprise to you, but Polish is seen by some your forum colleagues as one of of the bright lights in an otherwise dark and dreary place....

...btw, count me as one of his admirers, and I count the minutes until his august return....

Cheers
