I suspect the favourites are all using 50/34 and 11x25 as normal anyway.

This is ****ing amazing, Hesjedal getting forced to work on the front of the group before the stelvio even starts! This could prove very interesting once they get onto the Stelvio itself.

If they wear Hesjedal out and attack him at the bottom of Stelvio it could be an epic climb.
