How about he takes yellow tomorrow? That was fun!
Jonas a bit on the rivet there for a minute, but fought back...though unfortunately, I think I can see a future where he doesn't battle back to Pog's wheel.

The trouble for us fans is that Pogacar rode like this both when he won and when he lost, so who the f… knows where we are week 3?![]()
Yeah, he actually has, even while having the same points as Wellens, I didn't realize that one.Does he have to use the KOM?
Was far behind after a split in a decsent. He's relitvely new to the sport and just bad at positioning, so I think climbing level still fine, he just needs a lot of team support or a few years more experinece to manage a day like today.Expected Lipowitz to loose time today, but that's a bit much. Was he caught up in the crash as well or did he drop all of that climbing?
Would like to see the replay of when he was dropped on the climb. If seemed slightly bizarre how he was momentarily dropped then rode back up to Pog quite easily before the top.It looked like he had a little mechanical when Pog was really attacking, lost a little, then pretty easily caught back up again. He's ready for this Tour.
AlameidaVisma is definitely going to try double team Pogi again this year with Jorgenson/Vingo
Remember that last year Vingegaard was also surprisingly strong on San Luca.I was a bit surprised that Jonas was so strong on the punchy climbs. He looks great, so far.
Almeida came back with Jorgenson (and Remco, MVDP, Onley).I’m talking about before they let Almeida back, when they were just 6 (5?) in the front group.
Jorgenson tried, when he was caught back Vingegaard swerved to look for WvA instead of countering.
I think similar to Gall, but Gall was already caught behind earlier when split happened because of meh positioning/triathlon background levels of bikehandling skills. It looked like he was dropped in the downhill before the last hill. He was leading the chase there.
Then Pogacar waited until the hardest part was over. Here he had his team pace for 25km to set up this attack. Then when Vingegaard seemed to crack, he actually came back. Last year when he bonked he was just gone.Vingegaard also looked impressive last year on San Luca and we know how that Tour ended. Not possible to make conclusions about Jonas from a stage like this.
That would be a welcome sight...it will certainly gauge what we might expect for the rest of the Tour. How about he takes yellow tomorrow?

One for the big book of excuses if the TT goes meh...
Well, Jonas did bridge back up and outsprint Pog on Stage 11 last year.Last year when he bonked he was just gone.

(also Vingo already in half trouble...)
I have to say about DSM (formley) but now Postal Picnic they know how to spot and encourage young talent ..So many riders can be great with them , then leave and do nothing
Who here actually believed that Tadej can drop Jonas on this hill? What I saw today is enough for me to know what's up.What do you mean by that? Pogi evidently couldn't drop Vingegaard on that climb.
