Are we gonna get a nice juicy 3 year old doping case tomorrow in order to move focus away from today's Vuelta spectacle?

Are you implying that the people responsible for the timing have spent too much time in a Colorado weed dispensary?Almeida gained 7 seconds on that attack. Rogla 3 if I'm counting correctly.
Looks like you're not the best counter.Almeida gained 7 seconds on that attack. Rogla 3 if I'm counting correctly.
I mostly wonder why on earth I wrote it in the clinic 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😳Looks like you're not the best counter.

In 5 years he will finally reach Horner age. Then he can win on Angliru.Poels making his best time and his worst placing says it all.
So despite the first part being paced by Tiberi slower than in 2000, 2008, 2013 & 2020, this year's ascent totally dominates the ranking. It's not just a single rider going fast, it truly is the state of the peloton:

Many riders rode really fast today, despite one of the slower paced first parts. Career best performance by Landa, Kuss & Poels?
Padun came back and made them a special breakfast. The post 2nd rest day always deliers some "surprising" results, but Bahrain have found what ever was left at the bottom of "Vino's bag"!
All in all, 2000 (pre EPO-test) Kelme-Heras delivered a greater performance than Rogla yesterday, and the whole Kelme team was flying, but the depth is very different. 2nd and 3rd in 2000 were as fast as Almeida (6th), and 4th back in 2000 was slower than Ayuso and Mas (10th).Angliru time was great - 2nd fastest in history and the fastest for the steep section. It's not necessarily surprising that Roglic & Vingo climbed fast but it's that Landa and Kuss clocked great times as well. Another confirmation of top-fuel peleton in recent years?
I'm hoping the peloton has found something that is not technically illegal, and that are are not watching moto GP

Tailwind (not much wind though) and cool weather this year.So despite the first part being paced by Tiberi slower than in 2000, 2008, 2013 & 2020, this year's ascent totally dominates the ranking. It's not just a single rider going fast, it truly is the state of the peloton:
New Angliru TOP 50: Frightening level by Jumbo-Visma and Bahrain

A lot can depend on how many domestiques you save on Cordal I think. All in all, 2000 (pre EPO-test) Kelme-Heras delivered a greater performance than Rogla yesterday, and the whole Kelme team was flying, but the depth is very different. 2nd and 3rd in 2000 were as fast as Almeida (6th), and 4th back in 2000 was slower than Ayuso and Mas (10th).
So while we haven't quite reached the absolute peaks of the best performances of the EPO-turbojets, I think we can safely say that the level of the 10th best and lower is now higher than back then.

Fastest Cordal ascent since ... 2000.JV didn't take enough domestiques for the race, they have only leaders!
On a more serious note, Bahrain did a huge pace indeed.
