Yeah. It was closer to LBL, or maybe as hard, I think Pog could forgive the national federation..
Well, Flanders, when just looking at the route in Paris, offers a lot more terrain where you can just flat out drop the rest of the field if you're Pogacar. This route doesn't really do that tbh, at least not for a rider such as him.Yeah, he has a history of doing terribly in Flanders.

I've seen a few photos of this. I don't know, but I'd guess there'd be no point in wasting precious prep time with a setup which wasn't legal. Would assume this is an option and he's seeing if it's faster.Wout testing 2 full wheels? Is it within the rules for a TT?

The format is good for Evenepoel but everybody will look at him and so it‘s also good for a random winner. I‘m predicting Ayuso to win and make Pogačar throw his remote through the TV.Road races are gonna be so ******* weird with such a small peloton, a quarter of which is meme riders, and no race radios. The # of domestiques is extremely small, so I expect it to barely be about parcours even and just a long sort of elimination race of not missing front groups and splits.
The format is so absurdly good for Evenepoel it's kinda hilarious.

Carapaz won gold last time with one arm mismatched to the rest of the jersey. He’s doing whatever he can to distract people from looking at the ugly jersey![]()
Girmay, for sure, will be proud to represent his country, which is enthralled with his Tour successSyritsa or Girmay, which random sprinter will try harder?
Good point—but was it mustard-colored?Carapaz won gold last time with one arm mismatched to the rest of the jersey.
Marginal gains....
I have a hard time seeing past MVDP for the same reasons. Climbs are short, the last one is cobbled I think? To me he's just a more explosive rider, more suited to this course. If the climbs were ~3k not ~1k, I'd say Evenepoel. But I'm just reading profiles of the course online. Will be interesting to see it raced.Road races are gonna be so ******* weird with such a small peloton, a quarter of which is meme riders, and no race radios. I think I remember a pre-olympic training jersey in photos of him and Narvaez a couple of days before the race that was blue with one yellow (so slightly mustardy) sleeve. I remember being confused as to where the jersey was when I was hearing his name in commentary, and what nation were riding in white with a black sleeve. (race time in Japan was quite early here: that's my excuse)Good point—but was it mustard-colored?
Wheel was approved by UCI 8 days ago.I've seen a few photos of this. I don't know, but I'd guess there'd be no point in wasting precious prep time with a setup which wasn't legal. Would assume this is an option and he's seeing if it's faster.
Maybe mustard sleeve is the secret sauce to winning!I think I remember a pre-olympic training jersey in photos of him and Narvaez a couple of days before the race that was blue with one yellow (so slightly mustardy) sleeve. Can't find a pic of it now.
Yup, we get to “see” (weather permitting) more, and more interesting, parts of Paris than we do for the usual Tour finale on the Champs.Welp, should be interesting! What a venue for a race. Looking forward to it.
