Sivakov didn't seem ill today, probably just a stomach ache, but he didn't make it through the climb either.
They've both been in bad shape all year.
I would have ruled Yates out of the Tour. To be in this condition, it's better to see what Majka can do at 40%. But Yates is as if he didn't come at all. I hope tomorrow will be different, but I'm afraid he'll be out on the penultimate climb.

There is a world where they gave him a free ride because Pogaca still had Narvaez.
His form is questionable though and he may be rather useless.

Sivakov is not as explosive as the likes of Narvaez. It's no surprise he didn't make it through the final climb.

TJ van Garderen saying he would have attacked when Pog fell, is just a horrible take. No, Pog was not in yellow, but he is the reigning winner, and he will be who they will be fighting the rest of the Tour. That is a s***ty way to take time. I guess there is a "No honor in cycling" group and an "Honor in cycling" group, and I will always be a part of the latter. Where is the line? That is situational, but this one was clearly in the realm of waiting being the only honorable option.

Crashes are interpreted differently depending on who suffered the accident.Remco crashed on the second stageand it was going to affect him in the time trial. He had no abrasions.Pogacar's crash was more serious; he had abrasions, but he had nothing
.The abrasions were evident, and his hip and shoulder will probably be sore. Fatal for the time trial.

Sagan was disqualified for far less and at a time when he was the number one superstar in the sport.
It was a very reckless move from THJ but to be getting hate messages and threats on social media is a disgrace that any decent person should condemn.

Spencer Martin seriously I can't take too seriously. He focusses often on the wrong things. The day MVDP went on a ride with Rickaert he kept saying it was because MVDP had some grudge against Milan... While MVDP literally straight after the start said that it was just to give Rickaert a chance.
Spencer also continuously fails to understand certain team tactics.

Why would anyone take it easy tomorrow? It's not anyone's else problem. Yes at today stage it would be not done in my opinion to attack. I also expected no less, Vingegaard has always waited on Pogacar in case he had issues. But the status the next day is different, it is Pogacar's bad luck and his only to deal with. That's unfortunately also part of the sport.

The tables have been turned in a way now and there is now huge expectation on Visma and Jonas to set a searing pace on all the climbs and attack from halfway up Hautacam.Even though I am reassured by his good spirit, I still maintain he is going to lose some time to Vingegaard tomorrow
I think he will fight to limit his loss the next 3 days, and try to recover for 3rd week mountain stages.
It has now gone from being a very good day for Jonas if the pair cross the line together to being a damaging day psychologically if he doesn’t make at least a 20 second dent in the lead of Pogacar.

He mixed the messages he is receiving in with his public apology. It's actually terrible to blend the two.
He is a public figure which makes him a target of strange comments. Someone needs to delete the crap and not pay any attention to it. To me it reads very much like a backhanded apology. Frankly, this situation THJ caused is by far Pogi's biggest threat of the tour.
