Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

The conversation about bad weather for Pogacar is BS. Yes, the majority of the riders suffer more in bad weather, but Pogacar it's opposite, based on the claims Pogacar and the UAE perfomance staff said in the past. Yes, Pogacar already said he is better in bad weather, it suits him, and you just need to remember romme/colombiere where the weather was even worse than today.

So, the conditions for Pogacar today were very good, and he disappointed a lot, specially because of silly statements that he was going to be a lot better this year.
So you are saying that the rain and wet roads are making Pogacar going faster?😂
Obviously when people say bad weather is good for Pogacar that is meant in relation to other riders. Not that he is riding faster in slower conditions..

He disappointed a lot?. To the contrary - I am not basing this on anything mou has posted either. Today from Pogacar must surely match anything we have seen from Vingegaard so far this season? Its only March and Pogacar needs to measure his efforts for the season ahead - unlike Vingegaard. Yet huge gaps opened in just 6.5Km and Catalunya has a strong field of climbers.
Exactly this. It wasn’t a hard stage as well over 120 riders arrived together at the foot of the final climb yet by the mid point of the climb they were shattered into tiny groups with Pog long gone alone.

When I ride in the rain I also feel better (less spent) than my friends. You always feel it harder if you ride in bad weather. Gaining 1'20" in 6,5km is a really strong performance. Now he doesn't have to go hard the next stages, just go for the win in the end. He doesn't need to get any better for the Giro it seems, good benchmark.

Good to see Almeida in 4th. And even Soler 15th, ready to attack the team orders.

What a ride today, in this crappy weather, we barely had any pics. Super strong.

Meh, this level might just be enough to beat 50 year old Geraint Thomas with boni seconds in the Giro but it sure as hell won't stand a chance against the Danish Orca who'll tear this baby shark to shreds.
Roglic and Remco might be overrated but at least they have the balls to go to Itzulia, meanwhile this guy prefers to beat the likes of Chris Harper, boring as feck.
