Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

Yes, probably nothing more to it than that.

Im sure he has a lovely time with the Jayco girls and his girlfriend, but accompanying the Ineos guys for a day of cycling with fun conversation was probably not the worst idea.
On G's podcast he said that they "ran into him" and he just came on a ride with them but he is moving to the Ineos hotel this week.

Just looking at the Giro stage profiles and given the lack of talent at this race, I can see Pogacar genuinely winning up to 8 stages.

What are your predictions on the number of stages he will win??
It all depends on race dynamics. Barring crashes, stage 1 and stage 2 are sure bets. After this, it will depend how much other teams will help UAE. Prati di Tivo is a sure bet too, UAE will try to finish the race there. In the first week, we have 3 wins already and a possibility of having one more (stage 7 is him or Ganna, stage 6 or stage 9). In the second week, I don't think he will win any stage and the last week is where he will grab 2 or 3 more stages.

If he rides more conservatively and thinks about the Tour. In Catalunya mode it could be way more.
Yeah but nobody would ever ride a three week tour in Catalunya mode, not least because your team can't sustain that rhythm over that time (and, to be frank, neither can Pogacar). He'll win all the stages he aims to win (barring bad UAE break control), but I can't imagine that'll be more than six at most. Five is realistic.

Curious of how Pogacar would so in Robauix if he ented this week. Noone is stronger than him in the peleton and close in endurance so it makes me wonder how he would fare even tho i too imagine him beeing to light etc....

Just wonder how it would be.
Yes I think he is too light. If Pogacar is serious about his grand tour prospects then he should stay right away from Roubaix. Its a lottery. Maybe he could try when his career is in its twilight and he isn't a genuine grand tour contender any more.

Apparently Teddy is eating dozens of cutlets as we speak to achieve proper mass for Hell of the North. MVP will be shocked at the start of Sunday!

Paris-Roubaix is THE race for absolute power over power per kg. Surely TP has both power and skill but he’s unlikely to be able drop his severest competitors before the velodrome. The outcome is likely to be the same as at MSR ie TP losing out in the sprint.

I agree but it is pogacar i mean i think everyone would be really curious to see even with this weight if anything else. I do think he is to light to do it now tho.

Dont think he would win im not saying that, all im saying i think he would give the entire start field more suspense if he was starting even there you just dont know.

Hes to strong for everyone else everywhere else so wouldnt put it past him even now with current weight. Theori tells us hes way to light but many theoritical things he disproves already all im saying.

Like in flandern woulda been epic to watch nonetheless if not anything else.

the current situation here on the forum is best described by the statement "don't throw your pearls before swine", there will be better times for all true fans Pog, when freedom of speech will be appreciated, I have a serious warning before shutting down from the administrator of this forum, so I'm going to take a break calmed down before the Giro madness that is inevitably coming

I was listening to Eurosport’s new YouTube/podcast situation with Rob Hatch and I did remember something that people had mentioned before- during the tour pog and the team were fighting a lot with each other on the radio which might be why they are trying for a different team structure this year.

I fail to believe Adam Blythe who thinks pog can’t win the tour and will be going just to win stages. He wouldn’t be going if he didn’t think he could win.

Pog does not have a team leader - loyal employees relationship, but he tries to be friends with everyone and people are generally jealous ***, so there is Vine, Ayuso, Mcnulty who are jealous of Pog and who whenever they are called to be Pog's assistants in the last 2 years suddenly fell ill either before the race or during the race. Pog feels it all and the people around him know it. Why do you think it's always the same people and Slovenians following Pog at the races, mechanic Kavcnik, DS Hauptman, Domen Novak almost every race this year, and masseur Joseba, whom he trusts as a brother from the Vuelta 2019. The UAE is not a team, but a group of wonabee stars to whom Pog is holy because they will forever be in his shadow, this is verified information for you, think about it with your brain and you will see that a lot of things agree. Last year, the whole team were at altitude together in Sierra before the Giro, this year only Majka and Pog, Ayuso on the start list of Giro Emilia, gave up halfway through the race, Ayuso on the start list for Strade Bianche, gave up 2 days before the race, Vine was finally invited to race with Pog, one sick on the first day and in 7-8 days he will be 2nd at the TT Itzulie with Roglic, Remco, Ayuso.....in the race, Mcnulty wants stages on the Grand Tour and avoids Pogacar from the Tour 2022 and now suddenly ill for San Remo and also seen in shopping and at training the next day, who is making fun of whom here, the question is rhetorical, of course😉
