Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

I was listening to Eurosport’s new YouTube/podcast situation with Rob Hatch and I did remember something that people had mentioned before- during the tour pog and the team were fighting a lot with each other on the radio which might be why they are trying for a different team structure this year.

I just remember them coming up with really wacky messages.
Crocodiles and tigers, anyone?

Pog does not have a team leader - loyal employees relationship, but he tries to be friends with everyone and people are generally jealous ***, so there is Vine, Ayuso, Mcnulty who are jealous of Pog and who whenever they are called to be Pog's assistants in the last 2 years suddenly fell ill either before the race or during the race. Pog feels it all and the people around him know it. Why do you think it's always the same people and Slovenians following Pog at the races, mechanic Kavcnik, DS Hauptman, Domen Novak almost every race this year, and masseur Joseba, whom he trusts as a brother from the Vuelta 2019. The UAE is not a team, but a group of wonabee stars to whom Pog is holy because they will forever be in his shadow, this is verified information for you, think about it with your brain and you will see that a lot of things agree. Last year, the whole team were at altitude together in Sierra before the Giro, this year only Majka and Pog, Ayuso on the start list of Giro Emilia, gave up halfway through the race, Ayuso on the start list for Strade Bianche, gave up 2 days before the race, Vine was finally invited to race with Pog, one sick on the first day and in 7-8 days he will be 2nd at the TT Itzulie with Roglic, Remco, Ayuso.....in the race, Mcnulty wants stages on the Grand Tour and avoids Pogacar from the Tour 2022 and now suddenly ill for San Remo and also seen in shopping and at training the next day, who is making fun of whom here, the question is rhetorical, of course😉
Hmm interesting that Pog seems unable to inspire loyalty or that the team has strong enough leadership to enforce it. Maybe that is the reason why he is not as successful in the tours. He should sign with Ineos or concentrate on one day and one week races until he has a team around him that wants/needs him to win,

UAE needs a strong manager. Bruyneel could fix that ***

Jealousy is a serious disease, Pog is actually a very introverted person and it takes him a long time to gain trust in someone and open up to him, what you see with the fans before and after the race is all a mask, he talks a little when he meets people, only after he spends a lot of time with someone does he become more sociable, like Majka, Wellens, Mathews, Mohoric, Novak, Formolo. If you haven't noticed, Hauptman DS is almost always at his races, Pog always wants the same trusted people with him, from mechanics, masseurs . Just read Sivakov's statement from the camp in December when he was asked what Pogacar was like. The answer was very quiet and calm, down-to-earth, that he behaves like an ordinary junior cyclist who has just joined the team, and these jealous and spiteful people use that to their advantage, his kindness, calmness. Pog is a leader in his own right in terms of results, but Pog is not, for example, extroverted like Mourinho, to line everything up and put everything in its place, but the complete opposite. Majka is his most important trusted person and just follow who is with Ayuso at the races and who with Pog, does Ayuso have better helpers for the race in Itzulia or Pog for Catalonia, *** him, Pog is Slovenian and Ayuso is Spanish, but to hell with him because he will never have the talent of Pog and will always remain in his shadow and that's why Ayuso can't at night to sleep because he is mischievous, jealous and gathers a team against Pogacar around him, Vine, Mcnulty, Sivakov and recently Bjerg with Ayuso are much better than with Pog because Bjerg has also turned the tables slightly and wants space for himself and thinks that he working for Pog is holding him back, you may think that this is nonsense, but be sure of what is written, just follow in the future... these are people who have nothing against Pog and with whom he is good and who are important helpers: Majka, Almeida, Novak ,Groschartner,R.Oliveira,Wellens,Christien, everything else is very questionable,very...

Yeah, we all saw how he fixed 2009 Astana. They cooperated very well in the Tour! We all remember the "Love you Lance" before attacking in Verbier!

I completely understand why cyclists have ambitions. At some point they have to get results with these ambitions. There are a lot of races on the calendar. Go win some of them against the best of the professional peloton. and then a manager can have a real discussion. Otherwise “hit the bricks!”

Do you know where Stake Laengen stands? He’s been racing the Tour every year with Tadej, and he doesn’t seem like a guy that have any personal ambitions.

I said serious helpers, of course the Norwegian is just doing his job, you don't need to take everything literally, Laengen is like Declerkq in Lidl, he only has the ambition to look at the landscape from the whole column of 100-150km, I'm talking about these characters with big egos, ambitions. ..

the biggest materialist among all cyclists is Jay Vine, he only looks at the money, everything through money, for him cycling is pure business without a trace of passion. he loves what about Pog at the Giro because of the prize fund for the winner because Pog always gives up the prize cake when he wins grand Tour and it is divided among 7 riders and a small part gets the staff, so it is not small money when Pog wins the Giro, together with a couple of shirts and a stage, approx. 500,000 is divided into 7 parts, it is an understatement to say that such a person never get along well with Pog in anything, because one is driven by money and the other by pure passion for bikes

This is actually my impression too tho i dont have insight knowledge from Uae camp but from talking to several and he himself thats my impression too, not that its anything wrong with that. You have several more riders who you could say the same for. More so than just even 5-10 years ago (more riders).

Curious of how Pogacar would so in Robauix if he ented this week. Noone is stronger than him in the peleton and close in endurance so it makes me wonder how he would fare even tho i too imagine him beeing to light etc....

Just wonder how it would be.
MVDP is happy Pogacar isnt racing i can tell you that for sure if that tells you anything.

How he would do at this stage in his career in Robauix I dont even think he himself know 100% nor anyone else in Uae how he would do as Robauix is such a special/unique race and the general norm is weight matters more than one would think is the word of mouth from the guys riding it, its such a special thing like no other races.

But Pogacar is not normal in any way or form. people would pay to watch is the only thing I know for sure if not anything else, its one of those tings one simply dont know yet unlike every other races he enters.

Unfortunately, not the way I would like seeing him win Giro-Tour but now his chances are bigger than ever. Cycling is so cruel!
Just like Pogacar last year where he rode in not optional conditions after his crash in Liege and was far from his best naturaly duo to preperation people like roglic, vingegaard and evenepoel and the others will do the same, these people arent build like fotball players. They ofc would not able to do so well with sub par preperation as him but lets await and see what the injuries are first.

Fingers crossed for everyone involved and that it isnt something serious. Crashes is the worst part of cycling whoever is involved. Pray for everyone involved its okei and not something serious.

Maybe they aren't jealous but have no respect for the Slovenian clinic mafia he surrounds himself with.

I think it's never a good idea to speculate on someone chance based on injuries events so early.

First of all, let's hope Vingo isn't life threatening injured first, or career ending injured second.

Second, Pogi can also get injured, be it in training, or in the Giro...

Third, and let's hope it is the case, Vingo injuries aren't be so bad as to massively affect his TdF prep, and he will be as close to 100% shape as possible when July comes.
