Indeed, I also don’t count Lombardia as a big winAgree to disagree.
You realy believe this year is normal?
WutIndeed, I also don’t count Lombardia as a big win
Oh mate, you are just blatantly trolling right now.Indeed, I also don’t count Lombardia as a big win
Not really, I find Lombardia at the end of the season to have more riders that are just at the end of their ropes. Less great riders than at MSR-LBL.Oh mate, you are just blatantly trolling right now.
The difference is Lombardia cannot be won if you are not a climber so almost 80% of classic riders are not able to compete there. Not really, I find Lombardia at the end of the season to have more riders that are just at the end of their ropes. Less great riders than at MSR-LBL

I’ve always found this, had nothing to do with Pogacar
That’s also true, but Valverde also never won Lombardia, which had more to do with him being too tired at the end of the season, as are a lot of other riders. The difference is Lombardia cannot be won if you are not a climber so almost 80% of classic riders are not able to compete there.
Yes… I have nothing against Pogi, he’s the best rider in the world. I used to be a Nibali fan. Rather have him win one LBL instead of 2 Lombardia, although then we wouldn’t have had that amazing descent.Sure.

I get it’s a monument, but if I ask you to rank the monuments and WC you probably have a rank for yourself what you deem the most important win.Yeah, major wins are set in stone in the cycling world, but good for you that you think you can have your own opinion on that...
Reminds me of when Koronin said that in her eyes, the Tour of California was more important than the Tour de France.
Valverde almost never won a WC, in fact he was chasing that gold for 15 years. That doesn't mean he was tired or didn't peak for that race. Of course riders are tired in october but Valverde tried to win Lombardia at least 4/5 times and he never did it because Lombardia is/was way more chaotic than LBL (back in the days of Valverde's dominance). He won a couple of reduced sprints, however there was always a climber who got away in a climb/descent somewhere in this race. That’s also true, but Valverde also never won Lombardia, which had more to do with him being too tired at the end of the season, as are a lot of other riders.

When you look at the winners of Lombardia you don’t see only climbers. Gilbert won it twice…Valverde almost never won a WC, in fact he was chasing that gold for 15 years. But now more than ever, it is a race for climbers. A decade ago, they changed the route. But of course, we had non climbers to win this race but if we look to the last 10 years, this race is always won by climbersWhen you look at the winners of Lombardia you don’t see only climbers. Lombardia is considered a Monument.Indeed, I also don’t count Lombardia as a big win
Pogacar can't win every race he enters, since he can't win the world championships TT for example, against Remco. Here's a big difference between Pog and Remco: Pog can win any race that he enters; Remco can't.
Pog has a good chance at winning Paris-Roubaix; Remco, not so much.
Remco does what he does very well but come on, he's not the next Merckx.
You think last year is normal after Pogacar came back from an injury and was attacking as often as he could? Vingegaard and Evenepoel combined attacked less than Pogacar last year. You realy believe this year is normal?
What!! When was this?Reminds me of when Koronin said that in her eyes, the Tour of California was more important than the Tour de France.

Besides that, Pogacar needed a pneumotorax, collarbone, broken ribs by Vingegaard in April to win the Tour again. So, he can't win really win every race he enters.
Maybe one day, he will be able to beat a healthy Vingegaard in the Tour.

Not all TT’s, but Olympic Games and WC areLombardia is considered a Monument.
But you don’t count as a big win.
But TT are big wins, right?
Really funny, to say the least.
Definitely not. Then again, for me Vingegaard is the superior rider (and I don't like him at all).
Yes, you can earn points in several races, but the great prize is the Tour de France.
I can bet my house Remco would trade both gold medals today for a Tour de France win.
Yes, he would. He already said that winning the Tour is his dream. He just cried after being third.Definitely not.
Remco would trade both his olympic gold medals+his Vuelta win for a TDF win. The Vuelta is my favorite race of the whole year but the TDF is bigger than the whole sport. The Tour is not just a sporting event but also a political event (like Lance has said).Definitely not.
