I thought they only needed to keep the gap at a max of 2-3min, and after that Pogacar will just launch at 50km's and roll everyone up and finish solo?

Belgium will help because they are all in on Evenepoel. So unless Van Gils would be ahead before that 50km mark, the gap won't be that large.

I don't know but I have a strange feeling Pogacar's buddies will help him. I'm talking about Yates, Felix Grobchartner, Sivakov will do something in order to make the race hard for Pogacar.
