The only thing I don't like about PR participation is his probably absence in Amstel and FW. He can win all 3 hilly classics (AGR, FW and LBL) and he was already robbed in 2023. It will be hard to see him throw away another golden chance to win all 3.

Valverde got close to win all three at 34yo. Pog doesn't need to hurry to get that goal.
Valverde can't be a benchmark to anyone when we talk about age. He was WC at 38 years old and had his best level at 35 years old despite being at his top since 2003/2004

I actually don’t. I don’t know who any of you are. And I don’t want to. I’d put you all on ignore. I need the peace and quiet at the moment. ::dramatic::

Valverde should have won it multiple times but bizarrely he kept skipping AGR to save himself for FW despite both races suiting him so well and having already won FW many times over.

What?? He rode AGR probably more than 10 times and he never saved himself for FW. He just wasn't good enough in positioning himself before those hills and AGR is more suited to powerful classic riders (and not climbers) like Gilbert.

He didn't ride it in his last season (EDIT: he got ill in Catalunya, so he has only ever deliberately skipped it once), he rode Castilla y Leon instead in 2016 as he prepared for the Giro, was stopped by a volcano in 2010. Other than that, he rode it every single time he also rode Liège.

Why are we applying common cycling theory on Pogacar when he's basically violating every piece of cycling common sense every year
Word, exactly what ive been saying one to many times.

After what were seing year in year out with him, why do we even apply common cycling theories to this guy when it should be beyond obvious by now he is just different, it make no sense. Look at you, way to go ricki boy.
