Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

One of two scenarios will happen.

- UAE will drill this race from the front, making it as fast and hard as possible one by one before he goes thermonuclear. That way (rider for rider), they have 7 super strong riders.

- Or UAE will try to do all they can to get one of their 7 riders in the break and use one as a satellite rider. Almost all of them, besides Oliveira, are strong enough to add value in a scenario like that too, which would mean Pog wants to go super early. That scenario will also force other teams to use their riders early—a win-win situation. With those riders, I expect they will want to look for and at least try this strategy.

I wouldn’t be surprised for several reasons if he wants to go for the WC approach and try to get one of their riders in the break. The harder and more attritional it gets, the better for him, thats the only thing thats certain, and it can be obtained in one of two. The guy also has no chill so you cant rule out the second option.

It is easy to make a race attritional. Just put your team pacing for 50 km before his attack. MVP will be tired after Vermeersch, Wellens and finally Narvaez going all out.

As a fan, I hope Teddy wins everything and especially RVV, which is my favorite race in the world.

However, I will keep in mind that in RVV 2023, MVDP was caught behind in a couple peleton splits and also almost dropped his chain on Taaienberg ( I think).
doesnt matter he say he did his best 20min power chasing pogacar a still didnt caught him

I don’t see why. I doubt he keeps pushing super hard if the gap goes to 2 minutes as he will want to reserve energy for Roubaix.
Its pogi we're talking about. After the end of msr last week i could see the anger in his face & i've never saw him like that. Now vdp is getting all the attention after winning all his one day races & the media is talking about him as goat of classics & pog is seeing all this unfolding in front of him. And if everyone is disrespecting him like its happening now it only means he is gonna humiliate everyone and humble them by winning in a spectacular fashion

This uae guys who were fighting the last weeks for leadership ahead of their teammates and couldn't do a single result should now come together for one goal and forget about their hierarchy. In my opinion they should race it like strade. The plan should be to open the race from 130km to go on 1st kwaremont and make the race as hard as possible on all climbs from there on. with polit, morgado, vermersch, wellens& narvaez they are more than capable to put everybody on the limit before pog goes 2nd time kwaremont

I agree. They should just go nuts and race like mad men until the second Kwaremont. Pogi will do the rest.

Based on the comments I see here, this is apparently how UAE is preparing for Tour of Flanders

Some quotes to show how Pogacar was underrated (and still is). The last quote is a MVP's diehard fan (nothing wrong with that. I'm a Pogi fanboy too) a little bit a little bit shocked about Pogi's level.
Lmao, I still get quoted for that comments from 5 years ago. I don't mind it if it's done jokingly but what even is the point here. There is a million posts from since then of me being a Pogi fan who has been in multiple discussions arguing he would do really well in PR. How desperate can you be to prove that "everyone is doubting him".

That's how the champs motivate themselves.

Ask Federer, Nadal, MJ.

And we, as diehard fans, do the same :D

I'm not mocking those who wrote these posts (I already wrote very silly posts). I'm just showing how people underestimate Pogacar's level.
I made this post right after posting the one you quoted. Like I said, I wasn't by any means trying to mock or depreciate other users.
