I was talking about dropping MVP with a headwind.
Oude Kwaremont heads south, NW/N/NE winds are favourable there. Similar direction was in 2023.
From here, it doesn't seem they are going south in Kwaremont but I don't know.![]()

The old gang is back, fresh from E3, Gen and Milan Sanremo races. Wout, Pog and MVDP will battle it out again. But this year we also have a strong Pedersen and Ganna. Can anyone stop MVDP winning this?
Last year it was MVDP who soloed to a dominant win.
Notable riders: Pogacar, Wout, MVDP, Girmay, Jorgenson, Merlier, Sheffield, Kristoff, Kung, Groves, Narvaez, Vacek Matthews, Alaphilippe

Map/Profile:
In 2025, the start of Tour of Flanders returns to Bruges. This also means that the route to the Flemish Ardennes is changing. The duo Oude Kwaremont - Paterberg will once again serve as a major obstacle in the finale. The finish does not change either. Mathieu van der Poel's successor may raise his arms on the Minderbroedersstraat in Oudenaarde.
Start: Markt in Bruges - 10:00
Finish: Minderbroedersstraat in Oudenaarde - around 16:15
Distance: 268,9 km

So good news for Pogi. Koppenberg will have a crosswind. Now, it seems clear he will attack in the second Kwaremont. It does. Black line (last passage) goes south to the top of Kwaremont (2) and then turns left two times and goes north to Paterberg (14) and then to the finish.
Yea, well, in a discussion about cycling and cycling preferences, you have to be able to roll with the punches. Otherwise, everyone is on constant gaurd not to offend anyone and that makes things bland and boring. Opinions differ, but if everytime someone disagrees with mine I feel disrespected, it becomes a really unsavory affair. So let me be clear: I believe Pogacar will decisively beat VDP next Sunday. Of course, this is my wish, and there’s no guarantee it will happen, but it’s something I truly hope for.
I also truly believe Pogacar will triumph over Vingegaard in the Tour de France. It might not happen, but that doesn’t stop me from sharing my opinion—after all, this is a forum where we’re encouraged to express our thoughts without attacking anyone.
And by the way, I think Vingegaard has a certain emotional fragility. He himself has admitted to past confidence issues. This isn’t a disrespectful opinion, just a personal observation. Everyone is free to disagree, and if someone believes I’m wrong, I will respect that opinion, even if I don’t share it.
This is a Pogacar thread, so this is the place for us diehard fans to talk and share what we hope will happen. Every time someone says they want Pogacar to win decisively, there's always someone: “Ohhhhhh, that’s so disrespectful.”
It’s really annoying.
He is not even focusing in his performance this sunday. It's all about PR! Nuts!
Not completelyHe is not even focusing in his performance this sunday. It's all about PR! Nuts!
He will really kill the race in Kwaremont!
Tell me you are trolling, because MVP was only one second faster than WVA with a flat tire (very close to the end).Imagine thinking doing Carrefour slower than a Van Aert with a flat tire 240km into a race is a brag.
Oh my god.
Doing in training is different from doing in a race, especially from 2023.Tell me you are trolling, because MVP was only one second faster than WVA with a flat tire (very close to the end).
4 days. Just hope for no crashes!Oh my god.
I can't wait anymore![]()

Crazy a whole second faster than Segaert on mons en pevele
Yes. And he is training like a monster. Let's see if our prediction of a 55km attack will happen.4 days. Just hope for no crashes!
He was selfish. It was disgusting to see. After what we see today, Pog dont need to care about Wout at PR anymore.
Yes! Quite the margin, right?Crazy a whole second faster than Segaert on mons en pevele
If you're referring to Carrefour, they weren't racing that segment all-out until Wout attacked the Degenkolb crash. He was 2 seconds slower than 2023 MVP. It's game on!
