Well, it would be silly if he could just ride 200+ kms on his own at racing speed as a training, he would just kill his legs.

I feel great about half dozen riders showing great form this year.. I enjoy all the positive racing with constant surges and attacking.. Ganna,MVP, Pogacar and others typically force a separation.. And the grab bag weather conditions are also exciting!! I like Pogacar's chances but ultimately I just want a great race..

It's also amusing how many users agree with me. Maybe I have a point.

You have good points, but projecting feelings onto someone else is a totally different thing. I certainly don't see may folks salivating to see MVDP beat Pogacar at either race. I know I feel thankful that they are BOTH there to compete against each other so that these races we love won't be wipe outs. Personally I'll be rooting for Wout to hang on, but when as I expect it's those other two going into the finale against each other I won't know who I'm favoring until the finish. I love that both animate races they way they do, even if it means one-sided results sometimes.

We just need to read their posts since Pogacar did a recon on Arenberg.

The problem for pog in Roubaix is not lack of technique. This guy is 63kg climber thats the problem

just read that Hinault was lighter than Pogacar when he won Paris Roubaix in 1981!!

That would make a truly killer race taking in all 3 five star sectors of Paris Roubaix before taking on the Kwaremont-Paterberg duo.

I love MvdP; everyone should know how highly I rate him. But if Pogacar is the version of from last year’s WC, or even better, as many things suggest—then it doesn’t matter. In that case, this is MvdP even in RVV:

Kudos to Pog for standing up for Wout. Sometimes fans forget that these riders are just human beings and sensitive to a lot of the negative attention that social media sometimes (often) generates.

Well, the distance between Mons-en-Pevele and Kwaremont is like 70 kilometres so if it takes him 7 hours...maybe he was doing a Froome running through these sectors?
