Roglic is miles behind Jonas right now. Last year, he was dropped in a climb tailormade for him (San Luca). Galibier the same, gravel stage, etc. I'm not underestimating Roglic at all, he still is the third best GT rider in the world (even if Remco seemed stronger in the Tour) but there is a massive gap between Roglic and Vingegaard/Pogacar.You mean the Tour where he was crashed out by some douche' jumping a median...that one?
I recall him dieselling a serious climb, Pogi had dropped Jonas and Roglic went through Remco and Jonas on the descent. Not miles, not behind. Pogacar; that's a different story.
I agree he will be trying to win the Giro. If he's intact after that we'll see what Jonas can do for 3 weeks. Last time around he couldn't manage it. Remco is also in recovery mode and only the blind faithful will suggest he'll be fighting it out at this point in time.
Pogacar is dominant in not losing months of time to injuries. The rest of these guys have lost a season or two for recovery; so let's factor that into the fan's shallow reality of today's actual competitors.
