Talks expectations down a little I feel like

My main takeaways are:
- He doesn't know the exact effect of the training yet, and says the leg's aren't as GT ready as they were last year, because of different training for the classics campaign.
- He's very happy with his numbers.
- "Unfortunately I'm stuck with it every year" about the Tour. He needs to change his racing schedule because "otherwise I woudln't last very long" because of boredom.
- He needs to take the thought away that he definitively needs to win the Dauphine, because it's not an exact indicator for the TdF anyway.

Overall I'd say he sounds pretty confident (very happy with the numbers) but knows that different training might have an effect on his stage racing, and he's not 100% certain that the legs will do his bidding exactly already, or if they need to do a little more work on certain aspects after the Dauphine.

He still has 12-14 days of altitude training after this Dauphiné. If he says his numbers are good, it's are good news because he was training on long climbs and he is probably doing his best numbers ever.

Expectations are so high for him that some people are prasing Vingegaard more than him. He just got a dominant win in Dauphiné.
becasue vingegaard was more impressive to be honest, considering the nature of the parcours, after today I'm already worried about the level he will have at the tour

Agree, both Jonas and Remo looked strong today, will be interesting to see how their shape will develop through the race, very open. However today great result

vingegaard attacked on the flat and pog was on his limit (on the flat) and in the sprint (a flat sprint) he was very close. You have to keep in mind how much lighter vingegaard is compared to pog. The level vingegaard showed on the flat is super impressive, it's exactly the same thing we say when pog keeps up with vdp on the flat at PR despite being much lighter.

Pog wasn't on his limit... what race did you watch?

Once again. After riding on Pogacar's wheel who who had to close the gap to two attacks of Jorgenson.
