What happened after Remco attacked and Jonas/Pogi didn't react ? When my tv coverage went back to them Pogi and Jonas were back at the front.

The French are so stubborn in their covergae - why not have split screen when it's cear more than one interesting thing is happening

if I were UAE i would focus exclusively on hautacam stage, that is the easiest to control and to set an attack for pog. After that I would stop completely to control the race, just mantain an easy pace and let visma do everything. Pog just needs one rider at the bottom of the last climb

Worrying for Tadej that he couldn't even gap Jonas here. These climbs are Tadej's bread and butter. Good for him that he gained so much time on the TT, and will likely gain more on the mountain TT, so he doesn't have to ride aggressively in the high mountains.
He didn't have team to prepare the attack and although he did it easily, Pogacar came out 4 or 5 attacks from Jorgenson while Vingegaard dedicated to following the wheel.

Let me say this.
Even if Rabobank decides to nuke stage 12 and destroy Pog's leadout before Hautacam they will need to continue that on the final climb or else they will come back.
If they stop Yates or Narvaez comes back. And the harder paced stage benefits Pogacar.

Surely Visma won't let UAE control the stage and set up an attack by Pog. That would be just dumb.

Pog just need one rider at the bottom of the last climb? Who might that be? A Yates? Will he be fresh enough to set up a strong attack? And should Pog go from 10-12k out?

Yates has no strength left to mount an attack. He was pathetic today except for one specific moment.

Pogacar has no one to launch the attack.

Well managed stage. His improvements in how to manage these stages are absolutely clear. Didn’t waste any energy, always in the middle of the bunch in order to avoid the wind. Only responded to Jorgenson attacks with excellent timing in order to stay in his tow with again the goal of spending the least amount of energies as possible. Then tried a big attack in the end which wasn’t enough to drop Vingegaard who has been perfoming strongly.

He isn't really needed yet, just a little bit today. He'll be fine.
I doubt he'll improve.

Pogacar won't have a pitcher in the high mountains. Visma, like in PDB, will have to prepare his attack. He has to take advantage of his leadership.

Sivakov has at least arrived. I was afraid he'd arrive out of time-control.
Let's hope he recovers, but he's another guy who wasn't performing well in the high mountains. Although it's always better to at least help than to be at home.
