And again there, what's that aboutWhatever he took there at 11k to go seemed fast acting at least.

This is absolutely bonkers. I would so much like to know, what is the thing UAE/Gianetti&Co has come up or developed. This in Roubaix after shattering the Giro and Tour, not even talking about beating Pantani, Armstrong and others records on HC-climbs with minutes. It's just laughable tbh. Had to check the average weight&height of past Roubaix winners and found out it was late 70s early 80s since someone even under 70kg won and those are like one time anomalies.Of course VdP is juiced. But this PR showed once again that Pog will drop others on the flat simply because of the power in his legs.
No need for so called cycling experts to bombard us with theory about weight etc. when the simple fact is Pog has a surreal amount of power, for xyz reasons. It's enough to destroy everyone who isn't VdP in Roubaix.
Don't know but it is a bit hard to believeAnd again there, what's that about

You can check from there. And yes Poggie didn't win today, but that was only because of the mistake and propably the all time best cobbles&CX rider(who is also juiced). Otherwise it would have been a walk in the park-solo again and it's very sick&frightening.![]()
Paris–Roubaix Statistics: Unique Insights and Data (2025)
Which Paris–Roubaix stats 📊📈 are your favorite? 🤔😊www.cyclistshub.com
Been thinking similar things ever since that 2020 TDF ITT and it has only been going crazier season after season. I mean Poggie is obviously talented, but there's zero chance his naturally this much and in this style above all the others. We currently even have more riders considered generational talents, than we have had in a long while. The others can occasionally beat the monster, but not all year around and all terrain. His basically never has a bad day or runs like energy like you said, hell his even a quite good sprinter. Sometimes im so annoyed by this clown show from UAE&Poggie, but i still try to enjoy the races and i have noticed for the past years, that im always wishing someone else would win. It's gone so far that i don't care who it is, even if I dont otherwise like the rider in question, as long as Poggie doesn't win. Last time it was like this for me, was wheb Pharmastrong dominated the Tour(a bit with Froomey also, cause that was some weird stuff too).I called it weeks ago.
I've seen people attempt to rationalize how Pog destroyed the flat section of LPdBF 2020 TdF ITT, or how he demolished Evenepoel on the flat in Lombardia last autumn (among many other such examples). Yeah there's always 'caveats' but the trend is pretty straight-forward: Pog on his day can wreck the most aero or most powerful rouleurs on their terrain because he just keeps on going and going.
People will also praise Pog for his positioning at the front of the bunch, but once again that's really just down to his constant endless energy to do micro sprints to replace himself again, again and again whilst never tiring.
So we're face with a constant here, i.e. Pog's dominance is about being a real life Duracell Bunny. Not weight, rider profile, climbing or whatever. But simply that 'battery' he has in his legs.
If you consider the context, it worked just fine. A 65kg HC-cols and GT-dominator was fighting for a Paris-Roubaix victory, with one of the all time best if not the greatest classics&cobbles rider, who is alsoUnsure where exactly the UAE Gianetti genius was today, came went and didn't conquer.. Bikes sequestered immediately for podium and random others, no motors found. at least not yet anyway. Whatever is being used or was developed it doesn't work every time..
That's it. Motor or not, when you are on such treacherous terrain, crashes become more likely, especially for someone without extensive CX experience Matt PdV possesses. Speaking on the latter, his performances seem to have been significantly "upgraded" in the last couple of years as well. In particular, the naturally explosive rider best at multiple accelerations became a diesel of sorts -- where Wout used to excel. Witness long solo forays today and especially last year when he won PR (and Flanders) via extended constant speed solo rides. If you consider the context, it worked just fine. A 65kg HC-cols and GT-dominator was fighting for a Paris-Roubaix victory, with one of the all time best if not the greatest classics&cobbles rider, who is also
10kg(that's almost 20%) heavier than Poggie, but the crash sealed the fight. Lemond was the last rider who came even remotely close to a feat like this and he was a lot less dominant else where. So I would like to say "something" worked very well.
Or the one in his trusty steed.I called it weeks ago.

So you talk about being the GOAT of cheating and Nadal wasn't a cheater? ...Someone mentioned it else where too, but one thing that makes Poggie so much less likeable are the fans, like for real. This freaking GOAT talk on top of it all is a bit ahead of the time, it's annoying but also makes me laugh. The guy has now been the best in the results for a whopping four years and even of those years on two he (for our luck) wasn't at least that much better than the other top riders. Maybe theyre just trolling, but the term is used very lightly and it's disrespectfull towards the real sport "goats", usually you have to be on the absolute top at least for a decade, at least! Take names like Merckx, Hinausta, Gretzky, LeBron, Jordan, Bolt, Djokovic, Federer, Nadal etc. and then they basically put Teddy-boy up there at the same level already. Give me a break.
Imho he is currently fighting Lance and couple of others for being the goat of cheating and peds🤌😂. Gianetti is also high on that list for his "achievements" in sports medicine and pushing the human limit.

Not at all, but Poggie is still higher on that regard too. In tennis I always liked Federer a lot more too. Anyway the point was that you cant yet talk about Dopacars palmares even in the same sentence with the likes I mentioned. Messi is also a great example of a sportsman who deserves to be called the goat and even that is debatable. So it is silly to call someone goat after a few amazing years, that's just plain disrespect towards the real all time greats of any sports. So you talk about being the GOAT of cheating and Nadal wasn't a cheater? ...
Nadal was an all time great already in 2010. Messi and Ronaldo the same before turning 28 years oldNot at all, but Poggie is still higher on that regard too. But it doesn't make any sense calling ronaldo a GOAT, even less if we are talking about pogacar.Nadal was an all time great already in 2010. Messi and Ronaldo the same before turning 28 years old
They where among the the all time best at that point, not "the greatest ever" or GOAT, like people kept on shouting regarding Poggie last season already. And for me Ronaldo doesn't even reach the goat-level, too one sided for that. One of the best for sure.Nadal was an all time great already in 2010. There can only be one GOAT in a sport because greatest is singular. Anyone else can only reach the tier of being an ATG (all time great). They where among the the all time best at that point, not "the greatest ever" or GOAT, like people kept on shouting regarding Poggie last season already. Yes and that was part of the point, when the fan boys keep on throwing the term GOAT everywhere. The names i mentioned are at least in the ballpark of possibly deserving to be called goat. Imho the whole term is stupid to use, cause usually you can't clearly say that one athlete is the goat for certain, too many variables involved. There are only a few (if any) you can say was/is clearly the goat of their sport. There can only be one GOAT in a sport because greatest is singular. I think calling your favorite athlete who is still active the GOAT is a fairly common thing in certain generations (even though I agree with you that it is inaccurate)Yes and that was part of the point, when the fan boys keep on throwing the term GOAT everywhere.
