Tadej Pogacar and Mauro Giannetti

''Pogacar is doping'' but Vingegaard won two tours vs him. The hypocrisy is at it's highest.
Prime example how to not get the point or maybe you got,but decided to act stupid. Stage races are the only ones Vingo is winning and yes it has been annoying too sometimes. They still had good battles with Poggie on those years. If you didn't get the point let me explain: Dopacar has been doing this for almost two years now, almost every race he enters, every parcour and discpline.
Can you freaking apologists and downplayers at least keep in the normal Poggie thread, it's good place for a circlejerk.

There was nothing hypocrisy in my message! When someone else starts doing Dopacar seasons, performances and with the same backround team, I can promise you i will be equally annoyed.

Edit. And of course I don't think Vingo is clean either.

The motor doping theory seems a little out there until you start looking for other evidence. It’s got a longer history than some might think. Obviously not all smoke equals a fire, and that fire might have been stamped out from time to time, but it could be that technology has moved on and the benefits are so great that it has become too tempting for some teams to resist. And let’s be honest, the culture at UAE can’t be expected to be focused on sporting fairness.

The last one is hilariously obvious.

I'm glad that I was busy and did not watch any of the spring classics this year (except for maybe 30 minutes of Flanders). It's getting more and more ridiculous (which after last year I actually considered impossible). Currently I have absolutely no desire to watch any race that Pogacar is participating in. The outcome is set in stone 90% of the time.

That's right. As I said many times before, the first large scale motor doper was none else but Lance the Hunchback of Texas. Coincidentally, that was just the time spacious carbon frames became mainstream and brushless motors with lipo batteries became available.

In 2024 and 2025 there has been ONE single race that this guy has entered and not finished on the podium (not counting individual stages of stage races). He got 7th in Québec last year - a one-day race finishing in a bunch sprint.

Edit: Worth noting: He won 14 out of 19 of these races and "only" podiumed in San Remo (2024, 2025), Roubaix (2025) and Amstel Gold Race (2025).

Not bad for someone that is well on his way to become the new 'greatest of all time'.

Lately theres a new agenda in the clinic section, accuse Pogacar of everything and Vingegaard who won 2 TdF's of nothing. It's baffling, the hypocrisy I'm reading of some others users here. I hope it's bait because it would suck to be this clueless.

Well it could also just be because only one of these guys are riding and winning at the moment. We (some of us anyway) will turn the spotlight back on Vingegaard when/if it becomes warranted. Van der Poel is not getting much stick this week either.

You're missing the point. How can they call Pogacar a doper but ignore the guy who beat him twice in the tour and MvDP that won P-R over Pogacar. Where is the logical consistency?

Whataboutism at its peak, what am I supposed to write about Vingegaard? Like „Grrrrr, I bet he‘s doping and cheating so hard at his training camps, grrrr, I‘m so mad!!!!“

We've also been talking about Michael Storer this week, a guy who's never beat Pogačar or Vingegaard, and if Remco (and Skjelmose to a lesser degree) had continued to perform like he did last week, we'd also have mentioned him much more in the Clinic. It would have been the same with Cristian Scaroni if he had suddenly returned to greatness after his mysterious absence. That's recency bias for you, not hypocrisy.

Neither of those two videos prove anything. In the first one I think the wheel in touching the ground when the bike is swung round, and in the second one the wheel barely moves, honestly could just be gravity, or perhaps more likely the pedal is pushed a bit when it lands on the ground.

Oh behave yourself. First of all Froome was squeaky compared to Pogacar. Nothing he did remotely compares in terms of performances. And the other thing is that he’s old news. Pogacar is doing it now, and doing things that quite frankly insult my intelligence.

It's not recency bias when the user I replied to directly comapred Pogacar to Vingegaard. Like I said before, point me to a rider from recent eras that has raced and won like Pogacar and later turned out to be a doper. Vingegaard has the same trajectory as Lance Armstrong and we know what Lance took.

I'll wait for you to explain to the audience what doping program Pogacar is on or are you just saying things because he beat your favorite rider? :tearsofjoy:
I‘m not really saying much here anyway and I‘m currently out looking for a favorite rider that doesn‘t win as many races as Pog, I like the way he rides but it‘s getting boring, but you‘re mostly derailing the thread by bringing up other people who aren‘t currently doing anything relevant to the conversation. But thank you for reminding me that I should normally avoid the Clinic at all cost.

This is on point and it hurt's my brain🤯. Like how the F this can even be allowed to happen, cause it's just so stupid and people believe he doesn't have an advantage on peds/e-bike🤣

It's so silly that emojis had to be used.

I brought up Vingegaard to the discussion because some user made a post directly comparing the two, accusing one and condoning the other.

Not really. Why did the wheel stop spinning so abruptly when he put the wheel on the ground? No torque. To provide a boost a motor has to generate a force - even 20 watts. That wheel would have added momentum provided by the motor. Yet it stopped dead with just the pressure of the bike itself when the tyre was placed on the ground. Sure it looked strange the way it spun like that but that must have been caused by something else.
