The pressure of using La maillot jaune killed Evans :(

Seeing Evans in that situation is heartbreaking...

It would be heartbreaking normally, but the crap we have to put up with from ACF when Evens does well is just so annoying that I don't have any sympathy for Evens at all.

Australian commentators are talking about Evans as if he died: "Well, he's certainly done a lot for Australian cycling ..."

Great stage. Fun watching Vino go off and the Sanchez chase. Nice win for Casar.

Three good Tour stages so far. Who'd have thunk it?

Just heard that in the group Rabo, Leipheimer and Rodriguez didn't work and only sucked wheels.

Are those guys naturally dumb? Or just without brains (Leipheimer and Rodriguez that is). Appearently 4th place is more important to them then a chance at 3rd place (catching Sanchez)

Menchov is probably the bigger threat for 3rd as he's going to be very close to Sanchez in the GC as it is and has a better TT.

Not sure working to make that gap less would earn much for a rider like Levi.

so you are saying they weren't racing full pelt last year, be quiet

Yeah, they were really racing up Vontoux. It was a crap course with crap racing. Vaughters himself said that Astana was going slow. That was not a normal Tour. Anyone who used that Tour to predict great things for Wigans was delusional.

and distancing VDB2 and Basso a little more...

Interesting tactics. LA is protecting Levi's ride while Levi's natural instinct prevails.

Bonus of Schleck in yellow. Lots of Voigt and Canc on the front of the peloton and maybe some Chris Anker and Jakob Fuglsang killing themselves up mountains along with the Astana riders.

Sky should try for stagewins with EBH now (and perhaps Lövkvist can go in a breakaway). No way Wiggins is gonna finish top 5 in the GC.

Gesink said he had a hunger knock right at the top of the climb, so he descended "like granny in a wheelchair" and for the last 10 k he couldn't really profit from his group because he rode with "three smurfs". But he was grateful to Voigt for helping him out.

This year's Tour is already waaay better than last year's.
Kudos to Casar.
Sad to see Sammy Sanchez cramping and what looked like Cuddles bonking.
Cuddles has really grown on me over the last 10 months or so.
Basso pulling the LA group all the way seemed ridiculous.
VDB with anoher strong ride. Top 5 a real possibility now.

Yechh!

Way off topic, but what's with the podium girls outfits this year? As a Frenchman might say- Heedioos, just heedioos! Am I wrong?

+1. And Wiggins should autobus it and act as lead-out for EBH, and give the final TT a go.

Bet Henderson is thrilled he missed a TDF ride for Wiggins today.

Can anyone realistically see Wiggins maintaining his "GT contender" tag next year? His interview during the rest day suggested he was already considering dropping it.
