It'll spice up the TTT on stage 2 of next years TdF if G & Dawg are together. Will they wait for G?

None of the three amigos has ever won the Tour. This might be much closer to the 2009 Astana drama.Rollthedice said:The successful Spanish telenovela "The Three Amigos from Movistar" is turned into a British version, "The Barloworld Brothers"

Maybe he's being told that he's joint leader beforehand again, only for that to be proven incorrect once they start the race.Red Rick said:Hard to believe Thomas is that eager to go to the Tour with Froome after complaining about his treatment during the Tour.
Yes.Robert5091 said:Poursuivant said:Thomas:
"I definitely feel there's unfinished business there [Giro] but next year might be the wrong time.
"Being there [at the Tour] with number one on my back, it would be a shame to know I wouldn't be at my best, so I'm definitely leaning more towards that.
"But I just need to sit down with Tim [Kerrison, Team Sky coach] over the next few weeks and nail down a plan."
Can n't see Dawg not doing Tdf for win number 5, so G'll be number 2 even if he has number 1 bib.
But Team Sky should have their co-leader to avoid 2014's situation when one guy won TdF by accident.oldcrank said:With six wins in the last seven years, plus two additional podiums,
I am confident that Team SKY will make the best decisions for the
team and both SuperG and F-Dawg understand it's a team sport.
I agree 100% and hope both SuperG and Froomey start the TourBot. Sky_Bot said:But Team Sky should have their co-leader to avoid 2014's situation when one guy won TdF by accident.oldcrank said:With six wins in the last seven years, plus two additional podiums,

He's got a book out that he wants to sell. I would put too much stock in the complaining. He smart enough to understand why Froome was prioritised....Red Rick said:Hard to believe Thomas is that eager to go to the Tour with Froome after complaining about his treatment during the Tour.
he doesn't like the Vuelta and he doesn't think he can do back to back grand toursRobert5091 said:Midnightfright said:I dunno Thomas seems far too willing to be the good team mate. I think if they promise him the 1b role along with absolute Vuelta/Giro leadership he will be a good boy
Yep, could send G to TdF as Dawg support/number 2, then to Vuelta as number 1.

Zinoviev Letter said:If Thomas and Froome are both protected and Bernal goes to the Giro, it will be interesting to see who they deploy as the last man in the train. Poels is obviously good enough on his day but equally obviously can’t be relied on day after day. The rest of the wonderkids wouldn’t appear to be seasoned enough for that role yet.

Not yet but I wouldn't off thought Bernal would be capable at this point last year
I dont know if they'll send him to the Giro as a potential stagehunter, they already have Moscon and Sosa for that, so I assume that Poels will pobably ride the Tour as a domestique and the Vuelta as a protected rider.Red Rick said:Poels was 6th in the Vuelta last year. Obviously he's good enough for the role and this year he was heavily affected by his PN crash in the Giro and the tour was overall just completely weird he was there in the first place.
I was thinking Poels might have been plan B for the Giro regardless, but he can go either way.
Plan B stagehunting isn't too bad for the Giro anyway, cause if Bernal doesn't podium Sky don't get a podium in that race.
That could be the idea.Mayomaniac said:I dont know if they'll send him to the Giro as a potential stagehunter, they already have Moscon and Sosa for that, so I assume that Poels will pobably ride the Tour as a domestique and the Vuelta as a protected rider.Red Rick said:Poels was 6th in the Vuelta last year.
