Clearly what a rider of world champion and Tour winner level should do is close out his career on a pro conti or conti team. Voluntarily. Right?

RIGHT!?

ffs.

Less than 3 years after having a season that going by cq was 15% more efficient on a points per day basis than 2011 Gilbert and 20% more efficient than anything contador or Armstrong ever did.

He's closing out his career with an attempt to win another gold medal on the track.

Yeah, after giving up a track career to make big bucks winning a TdF, he is now going to back to be humble Wiggins. Somehow i doubt it.

You can doubt all you like, but factually that is what he is doing, along with his development team.

You can swallow all you like, but Wiggins doped for his victories and Wiggins wouldn't know humility if it stood if front of him. This development team will probably last as long as his charity.

Actually on this spud is right. I don't get why sometimes you guys fight tooth and nail over this petty *** challenging pretty vanilla points.

We all know Wiggins doped. Even laurel tacitly admitted it so his sockpuppets no doubt know the same, but when you respond angrily to someone merely saying that Wiggins is going to track with "Wiggins doped"- a total non sequitur, you are showing just how easy it is to get to you.

Re: Sky

Criterium Dauphine 2011 (won by Wiggins):

SATURDAY – Stage 6 Les Gets – Le Collet d’Allevard

The doc is in the hotel’s bar, laptop open, phone pressed to his ear, looking concerned.
Rigoberto Uran has been suffering with breathing difficulties for the past couple of days and Dr Freeman is trying to get a Therapeutic Use Exemption for a drug to treat him.

“It can be very tricky, especially at the weekends,” he says. Yesterday, Dr Freeman contacted the race’s anti-doping doctor and put the case for a TUE. The drug is a steroid that can mimic a corticosteroid in the urine and can be misused.

“Rigo has got a chest problem,” he says. “With most asthma patients, you will never find out specifically what causes it. We’ve tested for pollen and in Rigo’s case it doesn’t appear to be that.

“The ADAMS [World Anti-Doping Agency’s Administration and Management System] website can be tricky. Your worst fear is that you’re stuck in the mountains with no internet connection but we would not give anything that’s on the list to a rider until we had everything confirmed through the proper channels.”

Could he not use the ADAMS hotline and make a phone call? “That works well Monday to Friday but not so well at the weekends,” he says wryly, acknowledging that the onus is always on the athlete and the team doctor to ensure everything is done properly.

It took a few tries but eventually, he got through to Dr Mario Zorzoli of the UCI and gained the necessary permission.

But isn’t there an argument that if Uran is unwell and his breathing is seriously affected, he should pull out of the race? “He may well do that. But he’s an ambitious young man who wants to support Bradley and he wants to secure his Tour team.

“We are not talking about performance-enhancement here. The TUE is designed to enable an athlete to take medication that a normal human being would be prescribed by a doctor. It cannot be right that you and I could go to a doctor and be prescribed something that an athlete with the same condition could not use.”

totally agree, up until the point where you said that we all 'know' wiggins doped. We don't know anything of the sort.

Hitch, aint no one getting to me least of all MrPotato. Nor am i angry. I enjoy telling everyone Sky dopes and Wiggins is a total c***.

So thanks Uncle Hitch, but you are wrong.

wiggo may be a total c**** he may not be..............ok to say that he is as it's just an opinion

without doubt everyone does not know wiggo/froome doped...........it's likely but it's equally likely that the team sky chemistry sets concocted a legal 'pick me up' for those wins........

objectively, it's not equally likely.
a doping scenario is more likely as it actually explains the facts.
the legal 'pick me up' scenario leaves many facts unexplained.
There are many cases in point:

Sky not revealing Froome's pre-2011 vuelta data. Fact.
doping scenario explains it.
the other scenario doesn't.

Wiggins' public pro-Lance statements. Fact.
doping scenario explains it.
the other scenario doesn't.

Sky's 2012 USPS-like dominance. Fact.
doping scenario explains it.
the other scenario doesn't.

etc.

So while the other scenario can perhaps not be discarded, it's certainly not 'equally likely' as a doping scenario.

What a joke that posters want to believe that Sky beat Ferrari teams with 'legal' doping, while employing Leinders. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

And Porte looks set to win Catalunya, I guess the whole team are getting the white bags... I expect to see Sky on the podium of almost all the spring classics, no Boonen or Fabian... how many wins for Sky so far this season?
Any bets on Porte doing the double if Froome doesn't come good, or is he cactus already?
I'm just disgusted with the blatancy of it all...

Looks like Sky are going to win the lot this year. G's transformation has been utterly ridiculous and I say that as someone who has been a fan of his throughout his career. The way he got distanced on the Paterberg (due to poor positioning) but then just closed the gap and immediately dropped all bar two riders on the Kwaremont was pretty scary. He will probably win Flanders and Roubaix now as well, he is so strong he looks like he can just drop anyone whenever he feels like it.

A serious middle finger to Cookson for the CIRC report.

Jimmy dont you like Wiggins being called a c***. Not because he dopes is he a c***, I thought you had enough cop on to suss that.

GT has not shown he is a c***, plenty of time to though. Give him time, he might come good..... :D
